early this morning and right now you can see the yellow tape blocking off the driveway to that house. miss say this began when the burglar entered the home waking the man who lives inside. the man condition fronted the burglar and the burglar repeatedly stabbed the man. police say the burglary took off running but he was caught in the area just a short time ago and now is at the santa clara police department. the man was rushed to a local hospital and was taken straight to surgery. police do not have his condition but a witness said he was in "very bad shape and very bloody." several detectives arrived open seen and this is still a very active investigation. thank you, and as mike has been telling us, it will be hot the in few days which has firefighters on alert. three years of rut have made brush dry as a bone. the rain helps but not enough to make the brush resistant to

ureport@kgo-tv.com. officials at a dallas hospital are reviewing protocol after the man they treating for ebola virus came to the emergency room days before and sent home. the former chauffeur is in isolation at the hospital. he told an emergency room nurse he came from west africa but given antibiotics and sent home. he returns violently ill days later and came in contact with a woman in in liberia stricken with ebola virus. he has been in contact with 18 people in the united states including five dallas schoolchildren. custodians dressed in haz-mat suits scrubbed down the school. officials say the five students are at home monitored by the centers for disease control and

covering los altos, antioch and and all the bay area, this is abc7 news. san francisco is considering a new program to lower upwater mortgages by using imminent domain. the city would partner with richmond and give cities the power to use imminent domain to seize mortgages and refinance them for the homeowner and says the san francisco board of supervisors will vote on tuesday whether to authorize
