live, from the kgo tv broadcast center, is is abc 7 news. >> he was trusted to teach, but line, accused of sexually assaulting a young student inside a local classroom. and tonight, police and parents are worry there could be more victims. 52-year-old john arthur lloyd is accused of the crime. >> reporter: dan, parents say

they met with the teacher, and lloyd is behind bars at the santa clara county jail, police say he sexually assaulted a student on campus and then tried to convince the student not to tell anyone. 52-year-old john arthur lloyd is arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a child. police say he inappropriately touched a student at the elementary school. >> the sexual assault occurred at the school on two different occasions twice within the last 30 days. >> reporter: and during school hours. lloyd was arrested at his home in hollister. the victim told her parents, who then told the police. the teacher was put on administrative leave. >> the number one priority is student safety. that has to continue to happen at that school. >> parents are upset at the allegations. >> very shocking, a close-knit

community. >> amelio said that his daughter stayed after school to get help. >> knowing my daughter was by herself with two other students after school hours is very concerning. >> reporter: lloyd has been there since 2008, but in the unified district since 2008, he created a news room with his students, called room nine times, they are taught to talk to the parents, to learn if there are more victims. new details tonight, berkeley police made an arrest in one of three sexual assaults involving fraternities. 20-year-old eugene quillan is accused of assaulting a woman at the frat house where he lives. police say he is not linked to two other assaults, but is however held in berkeley in jail

on $100,000 bail. today, health officials confirmed the first case of the quickly spreading enterovirus. there have been five cases so far in the bay area this year. a san francisco child was admitted to the hospital last month, treated and discharged in good condition. the test results just came in. across the state 14 children have been affected, 13 with respiratory illnesses, today, health officials confirmed one child had had limb paralysis which is rare. >> we definitely expect to see more cases, but as of today we believe it is possible that we have 14 cases out of very many we have tested for. >> there is no cure, but there is treatment for the symptoms, roughly 100 people have been

infected in the bay area. and here is a live look at the camera in san francisco, still warm out there tonight. drew, how long will the heat wave last? >> dan, we'll gradually see a cooldown, starting at the coast moving inland. it is certainly warm out there. live doppler 7 hd, seeing the precipitation under the clear skies, a live look outside, we'll show you the golden gate bridge, all aglow on the evening. basically everybody was in the 90s in the afternoon, the majority of the records were in the triple digits. so not many places broke records, one area that did, san francisco international airport beat the record, a high of 95 beating the old record of 94, back in 1985. take a look at temperatures right now, falling back in the 60s, 70s, still very warm. san francisco's typical daytime high this time of year is 72 degrees. right now we're at 73. still warmer than normal.

79 oakland, 71 in mountain view still have a heat advisory. and we'll see you in just a little bit. dan? well, friday night's football is tougher because of the heat. it is also harder on firefighters who are constantly on the lookout to jump on the wildfire as fast as they can. more from the effects of the warm weather. >> reporter: yeah, dan, we're in orenda where it is actually cooler out here than it is in berkeley or oakland tonight, about 66 degrees. now, they are expecting higher temperatures tomorrow but the fire danger will likely remain high. >> don't take too much in. hydrate all day long. >> reporter: the mercury shot past 90 degrees in parts of berkeley and oakland today. it was actually hotter here along the bay than in antioch and pittsburgh.

the family of a teen declared brain dead say they have proof she is not dead. jahigh mcmath has been on a ventilator in new jersey, there is a video showing she is responding to her mother's voice. >> she knows the difference between left and right. >> she says her daughter, jahigh, mcmath, responds to her commands, proof she is alive despe having been declared brain dead in december. in this clip, she asks her to move her arm. and in this clip, she asks her to move her foot. >> come on, girl. very good. >> winkfield and other family members gathered at their attorney's office to present what they believe is evidence that jahigh is not brain dead,
