guards who were trying toñr sto them. alyssa harrington is live there with more on the story. >> reporter: walmart is closed but police are on scene. they are speaking with people here outside of the walmart as they continue the investigation. we know at least one person was hurt when around midnight, as the store was closing, witnesses say two men attempted to shoplift. they were at the counter when a loss prevention officer tried to stop them. one of the suspects started shooting in the store, a witness said. >> i was ]z the back, just shopping, being helped by a worker. we heard the gunshots and heard people screaming. started heading for the back and ended up in the back room. >> reporter: witnesses say the suspects and the security guard started wrestling. at least one person was hurt. it is unclear who that person was, if it was a suspect or somebody çóelse.

police were able to take them into custody. and the investigation continues throughout the morning. alyssa harrington, abc 7 news. >> arson investigators are looking into a suspicious fire that destroyed hundreds, possibly thousands of bottles of wine last night. amy hollyfield is live at the scene. >> they just boarded up the building here. they've got it roped off. a lot of debris here to go through. even this early into the investigation, police have already made an arrest. they got the call to come to this strip mall. the wesley, ashley wine storage facility was on fire. we are told there is a wine maker in santa rosa who stores wine here for distribution. hundreds of bottles inside this building. when they got here they saw a gasoline can on scene.

they were immediately suspicious. they checked video surveillance footage from a nearby business and i say they recognized añi known transient in the area of the fire. we have a picture of him. 49-year-old arthur holden was arrested for arson, commercial burglary and parole violation. they say he was on parole for theft. police say in this case they found physical evidence and stolen property from this business near holden. he has been booked into jail. reporting live in walnut creek, amy hollyfield. >> developing news, two people are in jail after police say they attacked two fans at levi's stadium before the 49ers/chiefs game. it happened inside a bathroom on the north side of the stadium before kickoff yesterday. the victims were taken to the hospital. one with severe head injuries. the two suspects were quickly

arrested. santa clara police are looking into the ait can. the niners released a statement saying they are aware of the incident and have been in contact with the police to assist on the matter. >> a pedestrian is in serious condition following a 'cisco of. the victim was hit in mission on due both near valencia last night around 7:30. witnesses say the driver hit the man and kept going. >> he flipped over the top of the car. landed on the roof. the car kept driving, sped up, it seemed like. drove off faster. went several blocks, turned on market. >> reporter: police found the vehicle and detained the driver. he may have tried to throw something from his car before stopping. >> a 20-year-old man suspected of stabbing his mother to death over the weekend will be

arraigned tomorrow. joseph ñibadia a li said he stabbed his mom saturday night. he stayed at the scene and was cooperative with officers. he was arrested on suspicion of murder and booked into santa rita jail without bail. no word on a motive. >> the american photo journalist who contracted ebola while working in west africa arrived in the u.s. for treatment. the texas patient has takenñr a turn for the worst. duncan is on a respirator fighting for life. he was the first patient diagnosed on u.s. soil. president obama will be briefed by the head of the cdc. >> san francisco's housing woes will be tin court. as of june 1 the city requires landlords to pay tenant it is

heading toward downtown at 56. the financial district at 56. belmont is a warm spot this morning along with pittsburgh at 66. tracy at 62. otherwise everybody is in the mid to upper 50s until you get to palo alto and santa clara. here is a look at the day planner for today. clouds arrive late. i don't think they will make a strong push. they will stop at the east bay shoreline. it won't be a solid deck. temperatures in the 50s and 60s. by noon, notice the coast staying cool while the rest of us make a run at the 80s. the bay stays in the mid 80s while we have low 90s inland and cooling quickly by 7:00. low to upper 60s. moving forward, we'll slowly let the heat out of the air mass.

world had twoñi more shark bite over the weekend. two surfers attacked within miles of each other but the beaches are open. >> reporter: double trouble in the waters after two surfers were bitten by sharks just 30 minutes apart. >> never thought it would happen. >> reporter: kevin ross was past the break on the suffer board when he felt a bite and saw the blood around midday. >> i happened to catch it. the shark thought my foot was a snack. >> reporter: the man needed 30 stitches in his left foot. we were there when he was wheeled out of the hospital.ñi he was treated next to a 15-year-old boy bitten minutes before two miles away. >> he had tendons and stuff on that one. his was worse than mine. >> reporter: we saw him taken to halifax hospital. he needed surgery. >> he has a torn tendon in the

coast where it will be partly sunny and 60s. 70s, 80s and 90s from the bay to the inland valleys. we have 80s and mid 90s down south. 87 at san jose. mid 90s around nor gan hill. on the peninsula, warm. 81 at san mateo. everybody else in the mid to upper 80s. 60s along the coast today. mid 70s around downtown. south san ñrfrancisco. the 78 in sausolito. at least 25 to 30 degrees warmer than your beaches. now along the east bay shore, upper 70s richmond, berkeley, low to mid 80s elsewhere. warm inland, low to mid 90s. 96 in livermore. now a look at what will happen tonight. you can see the cloud penetration deeper into the bay. definitely thick along the coast. low 50s in the north bay valley.

the rest of us in the mid 50s to near 60. here is your seven-day forecast. you can see temperatures slowly pulling back to average by thursday. l >> we may have a box truck in trouble. it's on the shoulder with lights flashing. maybe an engine problem there. it's certainly not causing problems for the commute. as we look at what's happening in the north )21ñ that's where we have significant fog right through 101 we continue southbound into morin. you can see there we are at top speeds. it's still thick. reduced visibility means you want to slow down and use the low beams. we have areas of construction. eastbound side of the skyway from 4th street to treasure island. construction crews. this will last until about 5:30

this morning. slow down for that. westbound traffic moving in nicely into the city. no problems there. 280, checking in at top speeds. >> thanks. it's 4:50. marriott is no longer jamming and redbox will stop streaming. >> in today's tech bites, red box instant is ending. the video streaming service was a joint venture between verizon and red box will shut down tuesday night. it couldn't compete successfully against netflix. no details on refunds yet. marriott is paying a $600,000 fine for blocking personal wifi hot spots. its own service costs hundreds a day. marriott said it was protecting guests from cyber attacks. tesla may be the latest to add self-driving features. they are working on one to help drivers stay in lanes. there is a conference scheduled for thursday.
