it is graphic. two defendants appeared here this afternoon, charged with felony assault with intent to commit harm bail set at per brother. the video shows one attacker punching the first victim who he tries to defend himself. his assailant falls forward from the swing of a punch the second attacker and hits him again. the other appears on video, and he hits him repeatedly. the video pans over to victim one. on his back, consulsing and looking disoriented.

two suspects appeared in court today. they both stood expressionless. witnesses say the victims, who are cousins were in the bathroom line with the two brothers and say the victim nudged the shoulder of amador. telling him there was an open urinal. one witness says he yelled he didn't like getting pushed and without warning gone began throwing punches the second victim attacked by both men when coming to the aid of his cousin. >> this is cause by the a mere tapping of the shoulder to left the defendant know that there is a vacant stall. two individuals were trying to get the line to move. >> the victim was in critical condition, suffering bleeding to the brain. >> he has a stent to relieve some of the pressure and

suffering from paralysis >> the other victim was treated for head wounds and released. a plea hearing was set for this month. >> firefighters in placer county are battling five separate fires east of sacramento. according to the patrol, two witnesses reported seeing several car tires burning along the shoulder of the highway. eastbound i >> the pilot is identified as 62-year-old craig hunt. he was a uc chemistry chem tri instructor that flew as a summer

job. he and his plane were based in the air attack station cal fire is inspected and cleared to once again fight fires. david, did speak to craig hunt's daughter. david? >> craig hunt was a smart man. despite flying in the air he was a former naval aviator who flew over the pacific. we lost someone that cared for peoples' welfare and safety. craig hunt was at home in the cockpit of a plane he flew air tankers over 13 years. before that he was a commander in the navy flying chasers out of moffett field. his daughter said he was interested in science and nature. >> he was just smart.

>> an 11-year-old student attacked while walking to school this morning right outside of range middle school. police say the child was thrown to the ground and threatened with a knife the suspect may have had a short graying beard redwood high school on lock down after a student reported seeing a bullet in the bathroom. sky 7 shows police investigating around 1:00. turns out the student did not see a bullet but a piece of a medical device used by another student. >> the patrol is looking for a big rig driver involved in a fatal hit and run. authorities say a 61-year-old man was hit and killed near warm springs road about 1:15 this afternoon. this is video over the scene. on and off ramps closed nearly two hours.

a sheriff's deputy is in the hospital with possible ebola symptoms. he was rushed to a dallas hospital health officials say they made the move out of caution he did not have direct contract with the person who died but did have contact with the family. >> just a scary time we're just trying to get through it. >> boning was also inside of the apartment where he was staying the deputy ordered to go inside to get an order signed there are reports tonight no one who went into the area wore protective gear. >> andy roods has that part of the story.
