>> good sunday morning. thanks nor joining us. i'm matt cell in for carolyn tyler. we will start with a quick first look at the weather. here's meteorologist lisa argen. >> hi, matt. right now live doppler hd not showing any fog. it's swept away due to the wind. gusting pretty good from our exploratorium camera. temperatures in the mid-and upper 50s. we are looking to a breezy start to the day. this is when the wind will be most breezy and gusty on the hill tops. you sea the wind gusts over 20, 25 miles an hour. we will be looking at numbers to start out anywhere from 13 degrees warmer by the delta. a look at your forecast for today, with the offshore winds

we will have plenty of 70 #* 70s at the cost. 80s and 90s elsewhere. details on that and rain in the forecast. that's coming up. >> one man is dead and two other in the hospital following a shooting in oakland. police responded 9:30 last night an 83rd avenue and a street. three males shot one died at the scene. two others taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening wounds. so far no word on suspects or a motive. two families in watsonville are grieving to morning. friday bullets took the lives of two people, one just four years old. lisa amin gulezian was at a vigil in honor of the victims. cameras, tears and emotion. they are mourning the loss of two lives, a four-year-old girl and 34-year-old.

>> one man is in custody and investigators are looking for several others involved in a horrific shooting. police call it a gaining shooting and the intended target was ramone. but he wasn't the only one hurt. the two victims were in this area for two very different areas. ramone worked at this motel when the shooting started. you can see it's just a few steps away from this back office. this where the four-year-old was resting while her grandparents closed up the restaurant that they owned. you see a bullet hole went right through the window. the little girl died at the hospital. someone left pink flowers and a princess law loan outside the fish house bar and grill. while one grieved privately, another made a public plea. >> this has to stop. how many more lives have to die? even if everybody were -- [indiscernible crying]

>> please hope anyone with information about the murders will come forward. in -- abc7 news. >> a registered sex offender is in jail, accused of shooting sidio of a girl in the park. this man was spot bid wal-mart security guard using a small digital camera to take pictures under the girl's address. he admitted to the wal-mart guard that he was filming and a registered sex offender. it's fleet week and the blue angels are back. the lack of jets last year left a visible and audible void in fleet week. yesterday, as it will today, the familiar sound filled the sky to the delight of people that came to the waterfront to watch. the maneuvers are so fast, it's hard to keep up. katie marzullo has more. >> sometimes it takes a second for your eyes to catch up with

laying the foundation for generations to come. >> it's a great opportunity to have. >> although president obama was in town for fundraisers, did not stop by. members of the audience did not let his absence distract from their experience. >> i thought it was impressive. awesome. >> proud to be an american. in san francisco, tiffany wilson, abc7 news. firefighters are getting the upper hand on a fire burning east of sacramento. the fire along interstate 80 is now 67% contained. it has destroyed five homes and burned nearly 3500 acres. the fire in yosemite national park is now 54% contained. the entrance into the park, which has been closed since tuesday because of the fire, is expected to reopen today. police arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of starting a fire that devastated the town of weed. mr. marshall was arrested yesterday. the wind-driven flames quickly burned through a neighborhood

and destroyed 150 structures. most of those were homes. president obama has returned to washington, d.c. after wrapping up a week of coast-to-coast fundraising here in the bay area. the president climbed aboard air force one at san francisco international airport just after 11:00 yesterday morning. neighbors hoped to catch a glimpse of the president in pacific heights earlier in the day. 22 democratic supporters paid up to $32,000 to attend a round table. mark pincus of zing you and his wife ali hosted the fundraiser. tomorrow the daily council is to expect a lay to allow for unruly drinks and house parties. adults could face fines starting at $1,500. that would increase for multiple violations. california's shopping bag ban hasn't taken effect yet but

that hasn't stopped the petition drive to repeal it. governor brown signed a bill into law last month. large stores must comply by july. friday they authorized owners of the ban to collect signatures, to let voters decide on the ban to a ballot measure. if you plan to head to the beach today. lifeguards suggests being very cautious. a big storm thousands of miles away in alaska is generating swells along our local beaches. the waves bring dangers with them like rip currents and sneaker waves. the question is should people be headed to the beach today? how is the weather on the coast? >> a red flag warning above 1,000 feet. 78 in lima today, a beach day. but be careful. and the beach advisory all the way down through southern california. emeryville, temperatures in the 50s. it is clear. one patch of fog by napa and salinas this morning. that will be swept away quickly

said the virus has killed five people. most of children. some patients have developed paralysis. developing news in texas where a healthcare worker who provided care for ebola patient hospitalized there tested positive for the virus. healthcare worker, who was in contact with patient thomas duncan, reported having a low-grade fever on friday. preliminary test results yesterday showed a positive find fourth ebola. another level of defense against the ebola virus is now in place. new screening measures are underway at five u.s. airports. we have the late of the. at jfk the first of five major u.s. airports to come on board. new, extensive screening. all passengers arriving from those countries at the epicenter of the ebola outbrook will test for fever and asked if they have had contact with patients there.

@abc7newsbayarea. i'm sure the cardinals were hoping for a rainout in st. louis. they didn't get it. maybe they are praying for rain tonight. >> they will possibly get some rain tonight. low 60s. a little warmer and showers in the forecast. so we will see what happens. as we head outside, take a look at live doppler hd. first, no fog. that really tells the story. it has been swept away for the most part and there's a little patch around napa and salinas. but we have a red flag warning in effect today. we will have rapid warning due to the offshore winds drying out the atmosphere, and already it is warmer in most spots. from our exploratorium camera, it's clear. looks good. san francisco 50 degrees. i anticipate these temperatures will slowly be going up instead of going down right around sunrise. our coolest numbers will be going the other direction today. the brief warmup. upper 50s half moon bay. you see the winds from our east bay hills camera shaking the

camera. temperatures still in the upper 40s from napa to hit aluminumma, the cool spot. that's not a typo, fairfield at 70 degrees. 15 degrees. the winds have started overnight, and that has allowed for the atmosphere to dry out. already relative humidity there about 60%. usually we are at 90. knee 100 percent when we have the fog in the morning hours that. gives you an idea how dry it is out there. from our roof camera looking at a nice view now with calm conditions. it will be breezy around the bay where we live. around the surface. but the higher elevations will have the gusty winds. clear skies, a brief warmup for today. the on shore flow returns tomorrow and then rain arrives tomorrow. should be out of here by wednesday. another opportunity by the end of the week. so here's the red flag warning. north bay, east bay, santa cruz mountains with winds in excess of 40 miles an hour and the relative humidity could be less than 10%. so really dry out there. you can see out over the hills

20 to 28 mile-an-hour wind gusts. and right around sunrise, about an hour afterwards is when we will get the gustiest winds. large swells today, 11 to 13 feet always from the north coast, central coast and into southern california. as high pressure builds into the north of us, nevada and oregon, we are looking at the offshore winds, the dryer atmosphere. but this is a cold front. the wet weather will move our way, bringing temperatures way down by tuesday. in fact, a return to the on shore push tomorrow. here's what's ahead for the next five days. first opportunity of rain, tuesday into wednesday. mainly in the north bay. about .2. by possibly friday we could see another chance. neither of these are any big rain makers, but it does change things up and allow us to bring up the relative humidity. mid-and upper 70s today. a much warmer day for the blue angels. it was beautiful yesterday. but take a look at the 70s. half moon bay at 87 for santa

berkeley last december. she lost her keys but later found them inside the hole of the lining of her purse. she found a box of stuff and a note on a napkin and a diamond ring. >> it's been a fun thing to have happen in my life. >> we first brought you katie's story back in june and asked you to call the berkeley police department if you thought the ring might be yours. police tell us they received well over a dozen calls. >> some people lost their rings as much as 30 years ago and they were hoping this was the one. >> unfortunately the ring didn't belong to any of them. so on this date she's turning the ring over to berkeley police. it's been appraised for $1,000 but she would never think of keeping it for herself. >> everybody could use $1,000. but the story is so fun. >> police will return the ring to katie in the rightful owner isn't found by february. she plans to donate the ring to saint dorothy's camp. it's a camp she runs to give

k-mart customers are urged to check their financial statements after adyta breach in their stars. it started early last month and was detected on thursday. k-mart removed the malware but believe some debit and credit card numbers have been compromised. there's no evidence that k-mart.com was also attacked. it's the latest in a string of big retailer breaches. two people are getting credit -- or pets are getting creditor saving the life of their owner. a woman fell in her kitchen and was in and out of consciousness and laid there for two days. friends became worried after not hearing from her. they went to her house and found

>> good monk not a lot of fog out there but we have some wind. things are looking warm and hot in some places today. high fire danger for north of the east bay hills. this year 31 elementary schools took part in the leaf sandcastle contest in san francisco to help raise money for arts programs. yesterday the teams transformed ocean beach into a field of vegies, meats and eats. food, glorious food. they had sandcastle creations. the event has raised more than $200,000 so far. an elementary in san francisco won best in show for candyland design. today would be a good day to get out to the beach.
