later. lisa and deon continued to pay the mortgage for several years the value of the property droped and their home was worth less than the remaining mortgage. they asked wells fargo for a loan modification. the bank refused to talk to them. because their names were not on the loan. >> now, arrears were growing because they had stopped accepting payment. so 5, 6, months had gone by. it's a big amount to pay, now. >> this is where this story gets murky. wells says they needed to assume the loan and blames the bookers for delaying paper work. bookers say they gave wells fargo everything it asked for, subordinate it again when the bank denied receiving it. they say they gave the bank the deed, trust, and bank still
