abc7 news begins with breaking news. gunfire breaks out in an attack on parliament building in ottawa. two are dead and police are searching for a number of gunman. >> thanks for joining us. >> it is a fluid situation. parliament is on lockdown after three separate shootings near parliament hill in ottawa the capital of canada. our reporter is here with the late breaking developments in the newsroom. >> good morning, in the last few minutes we have learned a social

shot this morning has died and the officer standing guard caught in the sudden attack that spread across three ottawa landmarks including parliament. >> for 15 seconds the sound of gunfire pierced the quiet building as armed officers, gunned drawn approached the gunman. agents took cover in seconds. security moved the prime minister to a secure location out of the building and locked down parliamented. two other shootings, one at the war memorial where that officer died. another at an upscale shopping center a few blocks away. one suspect was killed by a senior official. a hospital says they are treating now three patients, two of whom are stable but it is not known if they are the other gunmen or bystanders. >> i hope we don't use the paranoia and we protect our

>> residents are boiling their water because of e. coli bacteria. the water company admits they did not notify people until several days after the first positive test. matt? yes, right now work is being continue on the water main to get it ready to flubbed in an effort to get rid of the e. coli contamination. the water company says it is isolated to to streets now but this neighborhood is angry how and when they were notified. >> a water issue is boiling over in the east san jose neighborhood, the water company installed a new water main on piedmont road and a bacteria test was done on tuesday coming back positive on wednesday for e. coli and another test was done coming back positive on thursday. it is protocol to do a second test before notifying the public.

fired we threw an open door in a garage at 9:00 last night and at least one shot we hit the teen in the head. detectives thing the shooter targeted someone inside the home and they say the victim has linked to a local street gang. >> it is happening now, investigators are trying to identify a body found at a landfall. the body of the adult was discovered in a pile of recycling material at the republic services recycling center yesterday afternoon. that is near the borders of san jose and milpitas off of 880. crews dump the material at the center after collecting it. investigators are trying to narrow where the body was picked up. no word if it is a man or woman or the manner they died. >> a large fire is still smoldering at a yard in gilroy breaking out on ferguson and spread to a barn. you and see the on glow from the fire and crews from san jose and gilroy have contained the fire

chance is saturday afternoon. tonight is not so cool, 40's almost gone because of the cloud cover and mid-50's to upper 50's with sprinkles possible across the north bay with no affect on the morning commute and you can see the parade of high clouds coming in and the cold front will bring some wet weather to the north bay. he we are at 5:00 tomorrow morning, and you can see a few scattered height sprinkles headed to noon, light rain is developing around cloverdale, and it is as far south as santa real estates before it retreats back to the north on friday morning and all the activities are fine until 5:00 on saturday morning and we will see the rain rollback if so, friday's game at at&t park is fine, and saturday the rain should end right before the game and six degrees cooler saturday into monday and another chance of rain on tuesday.
