. live from the kgo tv broadcast center, this is abc 7 news. game four over! 11-4, the final, the series is tied at 2-2. a big win for the giants at home. and now the series is tied. and a little bit of rain that fell during the game did not create any major problems but more wet weather could be on the way. good evening, we'll have the forecast in just moments. but first, tonight, that game! our team coverage begins with abc 7 news sports director larry biel, wow! >> was it amazing, the way it flipped over, down 4-1, seemingly in deep trouble, the giants scored the next ten run,

evening out the world series to two games apiece. carlos santana playing the national anthem. bases loaded for pablo sandoval. to center, blanco and posey scoring 6-4, g-men, bust it open. scoring michael morse and gregor blanco, four points. this series tied at two games apiece. >> the big game, especially the way we won, we came out from behind, this is the way we played. so tomorrow is another game, we'll show the offense we're going to keep doing the best thing out there on the field. >> the panda, giants say madison bumgarner will start game five against james shields tomorrow night. we'll have many, many more highlights at at&t park coming up tonight in sports. >> there were so many highlights. >> a ton of highlights, 16 hits

for the giants in this game. >> love it, thank you, larry. and a special night for giants fan brian stowe. stowe, given the honor of yelling play ball to kick things off. stowe, as you know, was the victim of a violent beating at dodgers stadium in 2011. that left him with brain damage. his mother says that this is the game he will be able to remember since his accident. she says he feels like part of the team. joining us live, with a look at fan reaction to tonight's game. that has to be some happy fans out there. >> well, they were not very happy for the first half of this game. in fact, there were even a few fans up in the stands i was talking to who were preparing for the worst and the possibility that tomorrow would have to be the game that the giants would have to turn this series around. but of course, in the end this game did end on a high note.

fans could barely contain their excitement. this was a hard-fought win. >> it was rough, but we had confidence. >> we had confidence in our team. >> oh, man, i had a great -- in the beginning, wow, now, they came back, they're good to go. >> giants flags flew, fans knew this was a major game in the series, at the start there were two fans who got a special opportunity to soak it all in thanks to the generosity of a bay area couple. >> i'm a baseball fan myself, they're a big baseball fan, i couldn't do it. and she didn't really give me much of an option. if you met grace, she is pretty persistent. >> grace witt and her husband donated their tickets, so marine sergeant pescuti drove up here to be with the former army medic

jurgens, he is just excited to be here. he has had a long fight back from brain injuries after his humvee ran over a bomb in afghanistan. he also lost both legs but thanks to prosthetics and lots of physical therapy he was able to stand up for tonight's national anthem. and this pack of royals fans was pretty loud. but in the end, the giants fought back. >> the giants are going to win! >> they go into game five tomorrow with high hopes. at at&t park. >> and a lot of very excited fans and keeping calm, we hope, making sure security is tight for the world series. that is no easy feat, especially at at&t park where fans are on land and on the water. abc 7 reporter lisa a minute

gulezian has more. >> reporter: it is out here on the coast, as well. >> you still kind of want to be a part of it. >> reporter: hundreds of people had the same idea, the crowd and the excitement can also lead to chaos. just last night, two kayakers were pulled from the water south of the ballpark. there is a heavy law enforcement presence in and near the water. >> we patrol the area. we make sure everybody is safe and wearing their life jackets. >> reporter: the coast guard designated safe zones around the ballpark for boaters. bomb-sniffing dogs are also checking every ferry that docks here. >> anywhere where you could hide

anything we run the dogs by. >> reporter: those at city kayak run are stepping up to help, too. >> our guides are actually on the water making sure that everybody is having fun. and if anybody is having trouble we can help them. >> reporter: being a good neighbor is easier when the world series brings in eight times more business than usual. in san francisco, li. >> you didn't have to be at at&t park to have fun it was packed at walnut creek tonight and everybody seemed to be having a great time watching it on tv. and of course, these fans stayed on the ring. inside the stadium, the fans couldn't help but sit in the rain. many wore ponchos, others used umbrellas. the winds also whipped through at&t park making it chillier. outside mccovey cove, it was

be sure to follow live doppler on twitter for the very latest in the bay area weather. other news, tonight, a man and woman accused of killing two northern california deputies and a violent crime spree are now in jail. a man who identified him as marcel o marcelo marquez. the gunman shot somebody during a carjacking attempt. a few hours later, two deputies were shot in auburn, one of them died, monroy and marquez were arrested after a manhunt. deputy oliver and michael davis jr. were both veteran officers in their departments. today, family and friends honored both deputies in a special procession. >> reporter: the procession

began at the coroner's office in sacramento. they led the procession to roseville. and citizens lined up to pay their respects. >> these guys and women who -- put their life on the line every day for us, they deserve this type of respect by all of these people showing up. >> davis' loved ones showed up to honor him. silence fell over the crowd as an honor guard moved the flag-draped coffin from the hearse to inside the chapel mortuary. >> they paid the ultimate sacrifice so we all can come home to our loved ones every evening. >> federal authorities now say fingerprints of the suspected shooter confirm he was first deported to mexico in 1997 after

being convicted in arizona for drug possession. he was arrested and deported again in 2001. sacramento sheriff's say he identified himself of marcelo marquez, but his fingerprints matched the fingerprints of the other. and the allegations of the chp officer accused of stealing the explicit photos on a woman's phone and what his bosses are saying tonight. plus, the lengths some paramedics are going to in order to better treat their patients. and later, the new quarantine rules

covering novato, oakland, sunnyvale and all the bay area, this is abc 7 news. at least two more highway patrol officers are linked to a co-worker who stole racy pictures of a woman he had arrested. shawn harrington confessed to stealing the racy pictures from the female drivers off their cell phones, harrington is accused of sending the pictures to at least one other officers working at the dublin officer. in a statement, chief avery brown of the golden gate division said he is disappointed and appalled by the allegations, and we expect the highest level of participation by the

officers, there is no excuse for such behavior. the officer is currently on administrative duty. and officers would moon light as security for the team and players, one officer was working at ray mcdonald's house when the niners player was arrested. our media partner obtained hundreds of internal sjpd e-mails. in them, a sergeant told other officers off duty work for the team would be a quote, cash cow. officers who did security work e-mailed about it when reporting back to duty. critics say the relationship could undermine the authority of officers who are investigating the team. and on monday, commuters must start paying a dollar per day to park. this comes as bart phases out the last few of its lots where you can still park for free. and people inñi bodega bay

hope that crowd funding will help them. they want to buy this truck that costs $180,000. the campaign aims to raise $50,000. the biggest donor will have the right to put their name or company name on the life support vehicle. other sources of money have already been secured. let's look at the weather, all eyes on game five for the game, francis. that is right, we're seeing the light showers pop up. you can see areas of green mainly confined to the north bay. but it could pop up elsewhere. especially on the coast, right now, right rain falling, just a heads up. also reported in blue canyon, the areas of pink and white show some snow in the very highest of elevations. rainfall amounts were pretty decent, in mt. st. helen, three

quarters of an inch, elsewhere in the bay, anywhere from 3/10th of an inch, in napa, most of it started early this morning. clear skies, you can put the umbrellas away, if you're heading to the game. low 60s, san francisco, oakland, san carlos and san jose in the upper 50s, also, we see a shot clear view right now. downtown and bay bridge. so that is a trend that you will notice that will continue into tomorrow morning. and more 50s out there for you in santa rosa, 54, napa, 57, fairfield, still hanging on to 61 degrees. as we look towards the trans america tower you can expect decreasing shower chances overnight, in fact, getting less and less, clearing and cooler tomorrow. dry for game five tomorrow. so we have the storm tracking northeast. the cold front will move through tonight. this is going to bring cooler

and drier air for us tomorrow morning. and you will notice that the latest model runs show very little isolated showers in the overnight hours. in fact it is not much at all. clearing tomorrow, temperatures much cooler. overnight lows will only be in the upper 40, mid-40s in the north bay valley. you will notice the difference there, 46 in santa rosa, mid-50s elsewhere with 53 in san jose. the cooler air, they kind of offset each other. look for upper 60s, to low 70s, once again with breezy conditions along the coast, 10 miles per hour winds. clouds threaten wind in the north bay, friday morning we could start to see that. by lunchtime, showers are creeping south. that is not good news for the cost in parades. have the backup plan ready. it will be a tricky halloween evening. it could be wet for

live from the kgo tv broadcast center. this is abc 7 news. good evening, i'm katie marzullo, today, two deputies were honored, who had been killed during a violent crime spree friday. authorities say today the man suspected of killing them, marcelo marquez was deported in 2001 and 2007, and his fingerprints matched the fingerprints for a man named luis enrique. and an officer who arrested a woman sent racy pictures to

another officer that had been taken from her phone. and another wet day for game four for the world series, looks like the rain is wrapping up right now. authorities say a newly hired teacher may have saved lives during a washington high school shooting. in marysville, washington, yesterday, freshman jaylen fryberg shot four people, and killed himself, some students ran while the gunshots were fired. others froze. and when the first-year teacher meagan fillburg ran to help the kids. >> she grabbed his hand, it happened in seconds. >> authorities are not sure what led to the shooting. they don't believe it was random as the victims were his family and friends. students said fryberg just broke up with a girlfriend and had

recently gotten into a fight at a football plead. in canada, former members of the armed forces held simultaneous vigils for the man killed by a gunman. corporal cirillo was shot by the gunman. in calgary, they paid tribute at central memorial park. and new york and new jersey requiring travellers who had contact with ebola patients in west africa be quarantined. preliminary tests on a nurse that worked in sierra leone came up negative, but officials are not saying if she can leave. richard cantu has more. >> reporter: the health care worker was stopped friday as she returned from carrying for ebola patients in west africa. she was isolated here at university hospital in newark and tested negative for ebola. the woman was the first to be quarantined under a tough new

policy in new york and new jersey, the governors of both states have joined forces to go above and beyond current ebola protocols. new york and new jersey imposing a mandatory quarantine for anybody who had contact with an infected individual. >> voluntary quarantine, the stakes are just too high to count on people too do it. >> he is a doctor and even he didn't follow the guidelines for the quarantine. >> now isolated with ebola in new york's bellevue hospital, dr. spencer back from treating patients in africa walked around the city for six days before discovering he had ebola. the neighbors are playing it safe. >> my wife found the door nobkn and the elevator button.

>> two nurses who caught ebola from a texas patient who died are now free of the disease. before going home from the hospital nina pham got a welcome home hug from president obama. and speaking of nina, she is back in dallas tonight but must still wait to see her king charles spaniel, bently. a dallas judge said she has to wait until he is quarantine-free. a marine in southern california has died. lance corporal shawn neil was killed in baghdad friday during a non-combat incident. he enlisted in the marines shortly after graduating from high school in 2013, neil is the second marine to die in the battle against isis. and residents have been told

says a digital book should not be any different than a hard copy. he bought it and should own it with no expiration date. >> my books were taken away from me, that kind of scared me not only from the point of view of the books but the precedent it would set for everybody. >> reporter: they kept saying there was no way to get the books back. >> audible refused to help, until i contacted 7 on your side. >> reporter: we asked the company why they deleted those three books, the company said it was a technical problem and that indeed, lee owns them forever, telling us the technology changes from person to person and the device to device and sometimes that technology doesn't work the way we want it to. we have solved the customer's issues and are pleased he is now happy with the service. audible did restore the books now lee is catching up with
