live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. the world series trophy comes back to san francisco. larry baer shows it offs to fans to gather before the crack of down to welcome home the returning champions. good morning, thanks for joining us. >> as the players return home and rest up for the victory parade, fans are snapping up world championship series gear. amendment is at at&t park where it has been nonstop.

>> nonstop. people are selling the t-shirts and the caps. very good morning. i have asked, how much do they cost? and they say, i don't know they are just buying they don't care there is a chance the players will likely see all this love all over the city because they are back. they got home before the sun came up. >> fans were still going strong at 4:00 this morning. roughly eight hours after the giants won the world series. they celebrated all night. then gathered at at&t park to welcome the team home from kansas city. >> i am going straight from here to work so...i get no sleep today. it is worth it. they didn't get any sleep. i don't need sleep. >> when the buses pulled into the park it was so loud you would never guess it was 4:45 in the morning.

innings on two days rest to shut the door on the royals at 3-2. baseball commissioner presented the trophy to giants c.e.o. his final game as commissioner. it is the giants eighth world series title and the third since moving from new york to san francisco in 1958. >> madison bug pug -- bumgarner was the unanimous pick for m.v.p. holding the royals to one run only. >> the police chief announced officers arrested 40 people overnight after giants post game celebration turned rowdy. there were two shooting, a stabbing and numerous fistfights. miss tried to retore calm while being insulted. here is video from sky 7 showing large bonfires set in the middle of mission street. police say bottles and firecrackers were thrown at

officers when they tried to disperse the crowds. one officer was taken to the hospital with injuries. >> it is disgraceful that they don't get it and it seems to happen to the city. it makes us look bad and it is a shame. >> the chief says one person was shot in the arm and police are investigating a second shooting. a third person was stabbed. that victim is in serious condition. according to police, most of the people arrested were not san francisco residents. >> the chief is tweeting out, celebrate, but be safe. hopefully the streets of san francisco will be safe and full of peaceful celebrations when the new world champions hold the victory parade that starts at noon at the foot of market street near the ferry building and they will ride double decker buses to city hall for the onstage ceremony. matt keller joins from us from with a look at what fans can

expect. matt? >> the parade guys are not amateurs they have done the world series parade in 2012 and 2010 and they are doing it again this year. this year, though, was a challenge because no one wanted to mention the word "parade," until the last out. >> everyone loves a parade especially when it is a world series championship parade. getting the floats ready for it can take its toll. >> what is the most stressful part? >> unlike most parades are we have weeks or months to plan this comes down the motorcycle over the course of days so we are doing a month's worth of week in a week. >> the parade guys on pier 54 in san francisco started building early this week because waiting until a win would have been too late. the giants didn't want to jinx anything but agreed to pay a stipend before the game six and then the 10-0 loss and the

possibility all of this would be for nothing. >> we were cutting that when they lost game six and you don't know how hard it was "don't stop believing," rather than "give up," it was really, really hard. >> today the finishing touches are putting on the float from the golden gate bridge to panda for pablo sandoval. the traditional tow trucks are filled with people officer sponsors and other organizations. they put little league kids on and we never quite know who the guests of honors will be but i would love to see a certain panda on the float. >> just seeing the floats...this is going to be great. >> the parade guys say they will start moving the floats to the staging area, the parking lot (a) at at&t park. i asked with the forecast and the rain if the notes are weather roof and they say, yes, they are ready for anything.

>> we have continuing world series coverage. players celebrated with a lot of champagne in the locker room and tenderly with their families. photojournalist caught this special moment of brandon crawford with his little daughters on the pitcher's mound. he compared the team with the 2012 champions. >> the series was so intense. not to take anything away from 2012 because it was a fun championship but this series was back-and-forth and the level was so high that game seven you didn't fell that a couple of years ago. >> in 2012, remember, the giants swept the tigers. this one, of course, the nail biter until the final inning of game seven. >> the trophy was clean after all the shall pain showered down on it. >> i am sure it will be ready if the parade. >> kind of showers for the parade. >> a couple of important events

you can see the high cloud over the south bay but that will not stop you from reaching the mid-to-upper 70's and this is how it looks from mount tamalpais with no clouds but just mainly high clouds and rain and showers through saturday, but the heaviest of the showers is embedded thunderstorms will be tomorrow morning. we will look at the temperatures: 80 in antioch, upper 70's in the east bay valley to morgan hill and low-to-mid 70's for the rest of the bay until san francisco and to the coast, and mid-to-upper 70s and you can see drizzle turning to light rain in the overnight and mild tonight and mid-50's to low 60's. here we are tone, showers ahead of the main system and then you can see the light showers friday moving through the bay and the cold front is still to the west so from 6:00 to 9:00 9 best chance of the heavier showers embedded thunderstorms is in the north bay and moving to the heart of the bay and you can see by 2:00 they are finally moving out of the south bay and by 4:00
