no one is there. people say they're there. they're not. >> christy's story starts october 4th. she and her friends were partying at the dorm. they met another group including the student that she says sexual assaulted her. that student went back to the room along with christy's friends. >> they were playing drinking games i wasn't familiar with it. >> she says she became very drunk. she went to bed and her girlfriends left the room. . >> i kept saying i wanted to go to sleep i kept saying i wasn't comfortable doing that because i was too drunk to understand what's happening. and he later did it anyway. >> he she told borders what happened the college gave abc7 news a statement says in part that their decision is barring the male student, involved in the incident from our campus for any

purpose other than to attend classes. christy says that is not enough. >> he's still enrolled i can still run into him in my building. >> the college reported this incident to police they gave the results of the investigation to the district attorney. they declined to charge the case saying there wasn't enough evidence. christy told others about the story, several students told her they had been victimized by never told anyone. >> they're scared of what is going to happen they know nudging is going to happen. >> christy saw a new story of a case where a student carried a mattress around campus because her assailant was allowed to attend classes now, she wants to speak out and fight back. if you're a victim. vic lee, abc7 news.

do you know what a felony is? this would reduce the penalty foremost violent crimes from a felony to a misdemeanor. already convicted felons would have i chance to be resentenced and released from jail. as long as the courts think they don't pose a serious risk. criminals stay where they are no matter what. supporters believe this will free but opponents believe the releasing is a bad idea because they might commit more crimes and just end up back in jail, and hurting more people.
