live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. hello. good morning. it is 4:59. it is election day were we will find out if there is any weather that could give you an excuse not to vote. no reason not to go. it will be a gorgeous day. above-average temperatures. on the roof camera you can see the marine layer developing so watch out for areas low clouds and maybe fog in the north bay. winds are light and variable at six miles per hour to less and they are blowing offshore a reason why we are warming today and tomorrow. we will look at our temperatures, thin are clouds, more sunshine, warmth and 70 to 74 and inland, 72 to 76 and the coast is 62 to 67. >> we have 37 bart trains rolling on time and ace rain one and three open time and we have cars waiting to pay their cash

on the bay bridge so not sure if a cash register could be broken but there are a few cars backed up. we had an early sig-alert that cleared. we are still dealing with road closings. though are still re-opening eastbound and westbound highway nine at skyline boulevard. the lower deck of the bay bridge shows all lanes stopped on the western span. i will let you know what is happening. some c.h.p. lights are particularring and tail lights are stopped. we have breaking news this morning from the east bay where a fire has ripped through several buildings in pleasanton. it is glaring back up. firefighters have spots that have flared up so they are still very much on alert on the fire

in pleasanton. these are two homes that were under construction and several hopes are being built and a new development is popping up on valley avenue. necessity got the call at 2:00 a.m. though did not have an address but they knew the generator but they could see it when they left the station. people called from interstate 680. it was huge. firefighters got here they realized the area was so new the hydrants did not work yet. >> it probably added another these or four minutes to getting water on the fire. we tried the on-site high dramatics and used incoming units to bring water to the scene. >> they have no idea what started fire. they are dealing with hot spots right new. the investigation is still on the horizon.

opponent, sam liccardo is a supporter of measure (b) saying the out-of-control costs forts the city to lay off officers and other workers and says the measure helped the city to get the financial stability saving san jose $50 million since it passed. part of the issue is who is voting, 583 million ballots have been issued for early voting but only a smart portion have been turned in. >> the race for oakland mayor is a hotly contested race. the candidate who gets the most top choice votes may not necessarily become mayor. officials say the combination of a chose race and thousands of uncoupled ballots could delay the results. we may not have a winner by tonight. 14 can gates are running against mayor quan who is criticized over her handling of the occupy protest and the police force.

shows the toll plaza is getting jammed up. we will talk to american people about -- talk to meteorologist mike nicco about the weather and leyla gulen on the traffic. >> the city can now get new extra money an extra $1 million a year by allowing private telecommunications companies to install wireless antennas for street polls which could bring the city $4,000 a year per pole. the fee would increase by 4 percent each year. this weekend several lanes of 101 will be closed for the start of a new $30 million barrier on the golden gate bridge which has been talked about for decade. work is underway. workers are trained on a new truck to move the bay area that is 112" -- that is 12" wide and weighing 1,500 pounds.

we are taking you to tampa, florida, where a barge hit a draw bridge there. it is the king boulevard bridge and it now is stuck in the upright position after the boat carrying a crane collided with one side of the draw bridge. this bridge now is closed had both directions while crews try to get the barge unstuck. as you can see the crane is almost knocked overboard. it is a dangerous-looking situation. we will write you more information as it becomes available on what is happening here and injuries that are
