which is all it takes to push the temperatures above average. up to 81 inland, and 70 to 75 at the coast. enjoy the warm weather. >> i saw flights flashing on the golden gate bridge so we have construction crews there, as well, pecking up cones and they are making a clear commute as you head out the san francisco and into marin. southbound traffic is not seeing any delays whatever. we will take you over to the amount pass where we are seeing slowing and it is taking on a few minutes to the commute at 32 miles per hour leaving tracy and 580 is looking at 39 miles per hour for slow-and-go and back on the basics with construction in the wrapping up stages and you will slow down as you approach 680 but you are clear to go to castro valley. the latest election results, locally, the hottest races is too close to call.

ballots are still counted in the san jose mayor race, sam liccardo leads county supervisor dave cortese and matt is in san jose. we knew it would be a close. it did not disappoint. sam liccardo has 2,100 vote lead over dave cortese. here at the registrar of voters in santa clara county they say they have a lot more mail in ballots still to be counted. that could swing the election the other way. 120,000 mail in ballots need to be counted with a third estimated in the san jose area. tens of thousands of votes are still to be counted in the race. sam liccardo and dave cortese announced there will be time before it is clear who won. the registrar will count starting today and plan on updates before 5:00 p.m.

[ inaudible ] >> this ising a interesting map, showing the precincts where the canadas receives the most, green is liccardo and blue is cortese would won a majority of the east san jose and liccardo when a majority of the west precincts and the regular star says it will take four weeks to certify the vote december 2. that is when they will be official. either candidate could call for a recount. >> turning now to the other nightmare's race, in oakland, nows need to be counted but libby schaaf pulled away to replace mayor quan declaring victory after taking the lead with 62.8 percent. kaplan was second and schaaf received endorsements late from governor brown and senator boxer and says the first priority

will be to make the city safer by placing an emphasis on fighting crime. governor brown will remain in sacramento after the overwhelming victory. this is an unprecedented fourth term for brown after governor. he got 59 percent of the vote and he actually will be 80 when the term expires. the republican said he is not through with politics and he will run again. >> 73-year-old mike honda is backed by democratic party and emweing out ro khanna with 512 percent, the 38-year-old ro khanna has drawn support from the technical community and he is a democrat this is democrat versus democrat contest. district 17 is the first asian majority house district outside of hawaii. california voters were not part of the wave that swept democrats out of the office.

tanker fuel truck with dark colored cab. though do not have much to work on but it is possible it was use custody refuel the pumps at a car rental company in the area. they want to interview the driver. it is taught clear if the driver was aware they hit and killed someone. miss have not releaseed the name of the victim so said if there is anything to suggest drugs or alcohol or a fact report. the area has been the subject of pedestrian improvement in the past with better lighting and streetlights being discussed. this is like putting together a puzzle, with surveillance video and evidence collected at the seen. the truck has not been located but they are asking that anyone with information contact the san francisco police department.

covering santa rosa be san jose, berkeley and all the bay area, this is abc7 news. >> an initiative to relax san jose's tough new regulations on pot clubs is on the ballot in two years. the city council voted unanimously to push the initiative to voters. there were three choices: hold a special election that would cost the city $3 million. accept the provisions of the initiative that with overturn the city's tough new ordinance on pot clubs limiting dispensaries to areas that make up less than 1 percent of the city far from schools, churches and residential neighborhoods. nfl player ray rice who hit

it is 5:42. san francisco police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident in the tenderloin neighborhood just before midnight. ones tell police an 18 wheelers possibly a gasoline tanker truck, hit and killed a man believed in his mid-30's.
