when the weather changes to allow for more snow, both manmade and from the sky, more runs will be opening as soon as possible. at boreal mountain resort, i'm patrick walker, abc7 news. >> hard to believe it's already ski season, right? >> yeah, take that. even with temperatures well above average, they are trying their hardest. maybe by the end of the upcoming work week mother nature will lend a helping hand. maybe not so much in the precip department, but certainly colder temperatures on the way to the sierra nevada. it's going to take some time. live doppler 7hd. it looks clear from this vantage point, but we do have some dense fog around parts of the bay. the temperature and the dewpoint the same with very little mixing. that's allowing for problems right now. from our sutro tower camera it looks pretty good. 52 around mountain view. half moon bay 46. ice pretty cool right along the coast. that's going to change throughout the afternoon today and tomorrow. and a look at san jose.

nice and sunny. how about 78 today for you? so that's going to be well above average. some of the temperatures in the north bay, pretty cool, 44 in santa rosa. 47 in napa. we have fog out by the delta. concord and livermore has dropped another degree at 49 degrees. so the visibility has been a problem by the delta. less than a quarter mile. oakland just a quarter mile and the san carlos airport, look at that. we are looking at some pretty foggy conditions, even extending toward the coast now. you are doing fine last hour. but now the fog is right along the shoreline. take a look at mt. tam. this is what its going to win out throughout the day. plenty of november sun. that going to allow temperatures to be pretty warm. in fact, we are going to see probably not any records around here. maybe in oakland. but overall well above average. and then perhaps a chance of rain coming our way wednesday and thursday. that will certainly cool us off. there's a trough replaces this big dome of high pressure. and with it, well, yeah, we are

going in the wrong direction. another day deeper into our dry forecast. and we will look for some fog to return along the san mateo coast tomorrow for some slight cooling. here's a look at our long-range computer animation. and notice the blues here. this is an indication of some rain from extreme northern california, trying to edge into the bay area by next thursday. so we will hope this holds together. and if not, we still are looking at much cooler weather, perhaps aiding in the snowpack or the manmade snow in the sierra nevada. 67 today in the northern sierra. how about 80 in yosemite? 79 fresno. 85 degrees in los angeles with low 70s in monterey. so we will be looking at temperatures all around the bay today in the 70s or 80s with very light winds. it's going to be a slight offshore push. you have to wait until tomorrow when we see a little bit more fog here. i think perhaps just north of stinson we could get a little bit of patchy fog. but we will be looking at plenty

second half of the season in new orleans trying to avoid the first three-game losing streak of the jim harbaugh era. here's a abc7 news sports director larry beil with more in this morning's sports report. >> good morning. the 49ers will try to stop drew brees and the saints tomorrow. probably without linebackers patrick willis and dan skuta. they are out with injuries. if the niners want to make the playoffs, they better find some way to beat the saints. the numbers of startling. teams that start the season 4-5 make the playoffs only 13% of the time. 5 in 4 teams make the postseason 51%. safety eric reid knows the niners defense is banged up and brees poses a lot of problems. >> he's a shorter guy but he plays as if he's 6'6" in the pocket. he distributes the ball well. there's not so many things he does wrong a challenge for our defense to get turnovers.

>> is this the week the raiders get their first win of the year? 0-8 heading into a game with the broncos in oakland. trying to snap the slide that started last year. trouble is payton manning and the broncos just got lost blasted so they are look to refocus. raiders ricky car remains positive. he's looking forward to meeting and perhaps beating the future hall of famer. >> at this point i'm trying to beat him. that's my mind-set. and that's his mind set. he wants to beat us and we want to beat them. right now i'm just focused on us, really. you know, focused on our team making sure we are doing the things at practice we need to do. the warriors are off to a great start at 4-0. their only loss is a power forward. david lee will miss the next two weeks minimum after sitting out the next two weeks because of a hamstring injury. he came back and played only a few minutes before aggravating the same injury. he will shut it down at least two weeks and then be re-evaluated. the warriors are facing the 6-0 rockets in houston tonight. the third undefeated team in the
