♪ come and get it. fraternity. the body of a 20-year-old man found just after noon hours after a huge party at the house. good evening. i'm katie marzullo. it is just the latest in a series of problems for cal fraternities. lilian kim is live on bancroft way with the story. lilian? >> katie, the party was last night, but police didn't get a call until just after 12:00 p.m. the call was about an unresponsive man on the second floor. >> this is what it looked like after police arrived. plastic cups found scattered. remanence of a party

upstairs. he says he was president a member of the fraternity nor a uc berkeley student. >> good thing it wasn't a student. it is devastating. >> family members of the victim declined to comment and so did members of the fraternity. they are treating the man's death as suspicious until they can prove otherwise. they also say they haven't ruled out drugs or alcohol. according to the site, a witness told police that vomit was found around the man's mouth. >> he has been to parties before. he says the fraternities host him regularly. the crowd is not uncommon. >> he has a lot of space in there. it is one of the best buildings for parties for sure. >> many are hoping the man's death will serve as a wake up call. cal's greek system has received a lot of negative

attention since the school started. three fraternities have been the focus of sexual assault allegations. >> someone died who didn't deserve it. police are expected to release more information on monday. lilian kim, ac7 news. >> the i team has highlighted a growing problem. an extremely high number of students had to go to the hospital. it put a strain on emergency services. one night was so bad that they had to call in mutual aid. they say the number of calls is up over the past few years because students are urged to call 9-1-1 if they see a friend in trouble. animal activists are calling for change at the san francisco zoo after new details come to light. the zoo's youngest gorilla had a shut off switch.

the fry mate died when she darted under the door while workers were moving her into her nighttime enclosure. the doors knead sensors. >> the correction needs to happen not only with the san francisco zoo, but every zoo around the country that has automatic locking garages. somebody is there to monitor. >> the san francisco zoo has not responded to our request for comment. >> there are no survivors in a plane crash in santa clara county. the wreckage was found around 10:00 this morning on highway 152 about four miles outside of hollister. it went down last night and two people on board were killed. no one on the ground was injured. new video of the wrong way crash on the the bay bridge. carrie morgan is facing drug possession and driving without a license. investigators say morgan was driving toward san francisco,

a room with a stolen credit card. officers discovered the group had hundreds of pieces of stolen mail and two stolen vehicles and illegal drugs in their possession. they were arrested at the hotel this morning. a blast of winter-like weather will be moving across the u.s. this week. the temperatures across the country are expected to drop up to 30 degrees. someplaces are expecting more than a foot of snow. only a few states will be spared from the arctic blast. we will feel the affect in the bay area a little bit. abc7 news meteorologist joins us now with a first check of weather. drew? >> katie, we will get a taste of the cool air, but in the short-term we are dealing with foggy areas. right now the visibility in half moon bay less than a quarter of a mile. and we will have that fog for the first half of our day tomorrow. satellite and radar will show you the cooler air. you look off to the north and west and you can see some snow showers developing. that's the cool air making its

7 on your side's michael finney looks at the trials one bay area man is going through. >> this woman said she tried for years to get her credit file straightened out. she is lisa marie alan and she has quite the story. >> i got hired for a job. they asked to do a credit check on mep. i said no problem. they called me and said you have 10 negative accounts on your credit report. i was like, no way. there is no way. i have two credit cards. that's when i initially thought it was identity theft. >> oh if it were only that easy. turns out there were two people with the same social security number. our lisa marie alan in fremont, california and lisa marie alan in texas. and she had all of the red flags on her credit report. jay overall it was over $350,000 that was on my credit report that was in debt for. none of it was mine.

she couldn't get a car loan in her name. she couldn't get a bank account. >> mark says by the time he filed the lawsuit trans union had unmixed lisa's file, but experion and equifax had not. all 3 settled. >> more importantly, they fixed lisa's credit for good. >> i asked the credit reporting agencies to talk about this and that all of them told me by e-mail that they do not comment on legal matters. lisa's problem is solved. what about the big picture? it is called a mixed file. >> usually the social security numbers are not exactly the same, but still very close she says it shouldn't take an attorney to sort these cases out. >> once she started disputing that she was not the other lisa, then the credit

have interrupted their jobs. >> they bring the steamrollers and the cranes and they crank back and forth and back and forth. the back up alarms go off. >> locals say they complain to smart several times with no response. abc7 reached out for comment, but we have yet to hear back. emergency management crews are reviewing what may have triggered san francisco's sirens to sound at 11:00 last night and again at 5:00 a.m. the department officials say a message followed the alarm both times letting people know there was no real emergency. the sirens were temporarily shut off today while officials investigated the problem. it was a beautiful day today, but that may be coming to an end. let's go back to drew for stay check of the forecast. >> we will have warmer temperatures along with a chance of rain.

live doppler 7hd will have generally clear skies and some fog. we will show you downtown san francisco looking east, but to the left hand of your screen low clouds filtering in from the bay and along the coast we will have early morning fog from the morning rush. temperatures in the 50s and 40s too. currently 48 in napa and 58 in san francisco and 58 in hayward and currently 54 in san ramon and livermore at 67 degrees. we had high pressure over us and the warm temperatures. this high is getting pushed to the south. the reason why we are tracking a powerful cold front that right now is moving through the upper midwest bringing the first major snowfall of the season to portions of the dakotas and minnesota where more than a foot of snow is likely. once this front gets out of here in the next 24 hours it will open the freezer doors and allow cool, canadian air to spill into the united

states 6789. it separates the warm and the cool air. over the the next couple days it is pushed as far south as texas where the temperatures can run 10 to 25 degrees both wednesday and thursday. we are getting a little taste of this with temperatures falling back to more seasonal temperatures and even below normal by thursday. our forecast does call for the fog along the coast and the bay. it you will pulls back late in the morning and by the afternoon we are seeing tons of sunshine. the temperatures are still on the warm side, but backing off from the numbers we saw over the weekend. then we take it to the long range. we are tracking a cold front moving through wednesday night and into thursday. right now our computer model is projecting the best bet for soaking showers would be in the north bay around santa rosa, as much as half an inch. as you move south around san jose. less than a quarter of an inch to a 10th of an inch of rain. we will get wet midweek. the bus stop forecast calls for the fog along the coast and in the bay.

marzulo. a 20-year-old at uc berkeley was not a student. police are expected to release more information on the death tomorrow. animal activists are calling for sensors on the doors to the animal enclosures at the san francisco zoo. the youngest gorilla was crushed by one of the doors. it has a manual shut off switch, but zoo workers didn't get to it fast enough. san francisco zoo officials are trying to figure out why sigh yens went off overnight. it happened at 11:00 p.m. and again at 5:00 a.m.

kate beckkate beckinsale walked the red carpet. the winners get a $3 million prize. demonstrators hoping to stop what they call a corrupt mexican government took to the streets of san francisco this afternoon. the group demanding justice for 43 students who disappeared last september and are now presumed dead. one is 19-year-old israel lugardo. the drug carpal meetings confessed to kidnapping students and burning the remains. police arrested the city's mayor and wife ordering the police chief to stop the students from protesting a speech. and now to the two americans who are back with their families after doing time in a north korean prison. they were set free after the top spy master made a secret trip into enemy territory.
