gun owners feel the law is unconstitutional slap at their right to protect their homes from intruders. the ban on large capacity magazines is state law. this goes a step further and makes it illegal to possess them in the home. >> a former police officer will testify against his colleagues who are charged with stealing money and drugs from people at hotels. the former officer was among the officers named in a federal corruption probe and pleaded guilty to charges and will testify today or tomorrow against his colleagues, two officers. investigators say they told money from potential suspects during searches at residential hotels. the two have pleads not guilty. >> palo alto city council will vote on reversing the ban of camping out in cars which was adopted in august of last year but has been on shaky legal

fire investigators are looking into how flames started at holy cross catholic church in san jose destroying the historic house of worship built in 1920. firefighters decided to let the fire burn because of the danger of the walls collapsing. army national guard troops from the bay area have been ordered to mobilize for possible

as we start to build up in traffic along the bay bridge toll plaza we will seeing more headlights and they are stacking up with the metering lights not turned on. by condition draft, the bay bridge toll plaza is moving along without any problems and traffic is starting to build even there. we have breaking news, a surgeon being treated for ebola virus in nebraska has died. we received word a few minutes ago of the death of who died. he was sicker than the other patients. he first tested negative for ebola after he developed symptoms but later he tested positive. he was the third person to be treated in omaha for the virus. we will have more on that in the next half hour. >> san jose firefighter investigators will try to understand what caused a massive place that destroyed a historic

church despite the efforts of 100 firefighters. matt is on the scene of the holy cross parish church. firefighters, all night, were relieve by new fire crews. the firefighters are keeping an eye on the building making sure there are no flareups. the fire started at holy cross parish church yesterday afternoon at 2:20 after the 1:00 o'clock mass ended and burned through the roof collapsing including the cross. church was built in 1920 and the heavy timber was a big reason it spread so quickly. holy cross parish has a diverse congregation of 600 families. they would like to rebuild. they would like to rebuild. i had my first commune my kids were baptized here.
