live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> breaking news from san jose, where a body is found following a car fire in a garage, across the street from the courthouse and jail. thanks for joining us. the fire started after an accident in the garage. our reporter joins us from the seen. this is an unusual case, the santa clara main jail is across the street and firefighters and police officers are here on the scene responding to a vehicle fire on the second floor of the garage.

they found a body in one of the cars. the call came at 9:25 when a driver hit a pillar and another vehicle on the second floor and the vehicle caught fire. the fire department pulled out a full first alarm to make sure no one else was trapped with the smoke inside the garage. >> after we distinguished the fire there was one person deceased in the vehicle that was involved in the vehicle accident. the cause of the vehicle accident and subsequent fire is under investigation and the police will take over that investigation. >> i asked the fire can't if it looked suspicious and he said the person can have had a medical emergency or hurt attack but investigators will determine. the body was badly burned so the coroner has to identify the experience. there is in word on how long police and fire will be here. thank you, matt.

investigators are look how flames started at holy cross catholic church in san jose. the four-alarm fire destroyed the historic house of worship built in 1920. investigators with arson say that the fire started in a choir loft where the organ sits and is not suspicious. it will be up to the insurance company investigators to figure out the cause of the church has served generations of parish owners and was redone recently. >> we hope to rebuild not as beautiful as we had because there is no artist that can do that but, probably, we can have a space to worship god and have believe efforts together. >> the father says the church has insurance so that will help pay for the rebuild. masses are held next door right new. >> seven people have been displaced after a large house caught fire near the uc berkeley
