in worries at sfo because there are no clouds. the first forecast is 69 to 73 inland and up to 70 along the coast. up to 72 around the bay. it is a "spare the air" bay so no burning of wood. >> today is the busiest days of the season and we have a lot of traffic. first, i want to show video of a semi truck that ran into a power semi truck that ran into a power pole in san to make repairs. there are at least a thousand people without power right now. through berkeley, this takes you either to oakland airport or across the bay bridge into san francisco to sfo so expect a lost traffic. lower gas prices, too, and plenty are taking to the cars. >> interesting factor.

our continuing coverage of the ferguson fall intermediate for the second night in a row, protesters hit the street in st. louis suburb to protest a decision by thing from not to charge the white police officer for the shooting debt unarmed black teen. >> 44 people were arrested in the second night of protests with three times as many national guard troops last night to deal with protesters after it was announced that officer wilson would not be indicted in the shooting death of 18-year-old michael brown. authorities say some protesters threw objects at police officers but there were no serious injuries. they say that some protesters does their own policing. >> what you saw today, we deplayed our resources and made sure they were where they needed to be. we got help from our community, as well, today. it is about a partnership.

we want to make our community move forward with a partnership. >> most of the arrests last night were for misdemeanors with authorities say there were four felony arrests. oakland and emeryville are calm at this hour but it was a different story last night. amy hollyfield is along telegraph avenue with the latest. this is a focal point of the many businesses were damaged including this paint store on telegraph at 42 under. the windows were smashed out. they are boarded up now. paints were stolen, and the paint was spilled and the cans were used at weapons. a car dealership was smashed up, a walgreens was lotted. a business owner said when the window to the cafe was open he and another business owner decided to take a stand and try for protect the building but his knees were shaking.

>> we decided to stand if front of the entrance and block them from coming in. not in a heroic manner but just made our presence known we are standing in front of the door you just broke, the window, and stood there calmly and watched them start the fires in the streets. an older man was hit in face with a paint can and he was with a pastor trying to discourage violence when he was hit. police say they issueed several dispersal orders that were ignored. protesters threw bottles and rocks at police and start the several fires. at 1:00 o'clock a.m. it came to an end. a man stopped by here at the paint store and taking pictures of the exterior and we asked if this is his business and three said yes, he did not want to talk on camera but it appears the cleanup process now is under

night. at one point necessity -- they blocked the entrance to the lincoln tunnel and launched on the fdr bridge most of them were peaceful but there were a handful of arrests. >> in boston a thousand marched through city streets and massachusetts state police and boston police established a perimeter to try to gather the demonstrators. protesters tried to talk on to a highway to disrupt traffic. in new york the profit was peaceful, as well, with only a handful of arrests. >> the ferguson officer wilson said he could not have done anything differently to have prevented the 18-year-old shooting death. >> he appeared in public yesterday during an exclusive interview with george stephanopolis and offered details of the august 9 shooting including the confrontation with brown at his police vehicle. >> i used my door to push him back and yell to "get back," but he pushed the door shut.

from walnut creek, interstate 6 area, the tail lights are headed southbound and things are moving without any trouble and gas is cheap. or relatively chip and more people hit the roads to sacramento expect the stretch of roadway to be busy. >> as for air travel the east coast forecast calls positive snow and is causing delays and cancellations. i am happy to report that things here seem to be moving smoothly at sfo and we do have new members on the flight cancellations and delays cross the united states. look over my shoulder you can see the people are moving law with no long delays. according to flight tracking service airlines have scrapped 299 flights for today moving in or out of the country. an additional 510 flights have been delayed. fortunately they are not here at sfo where we found lines moving quickly with no notice alerts on

the travel board. >> the delays and cancellations are because of expectation of bad wets on the east coast where most of the business of the airports are there are 46 million passengers moving by car, train and plane. >> i prepare two days before with kids. i'm packed. that is a big deal. that is my tip. >> no one is calling this a major weeks ago problem but they will have disruption to holiday plans with carriers deciding to cancel flights preemptively when more weather was forecast. in anticipation of the poor weeks ago, every united states airline has moved to wave rebooking fees to cities in the path of the storm and back at sfo you can see the people are having no problems checking in and moving along.

covering cupertino, concord, wine country and all the bay area, this is abc7 news. welcome back at 6:15. one is dead the another is hurt. they were both hit by bart trains in two separate incidents. the first happened at 6:30 last night at downtown berkeley station. police say they responded to a report of a person under the train. it is not clear how that person ended up on the tracks. the station was closed for three hours. >> before 9:00 p.m. another person was hit by a train at embarcadero station in san francisco. that person was taken to the hospital. there is in word on their condition. as organized labors expands efforts in the silicon valley a local union and civil rights activist jesse jackson is pushing for better working conditions for security guards

at apple. united service workers is looking to unionize security guards who work on the cupertino campus amid a growing debate of the widespread use of contract workers. while the technical workers they serve receive huge salaries and impressive perks, contractors often struggle to make end's meet. if you have experienced deja vu on friday, there is a reason, retailers offering the same products and prices as last year. according to a study, 93 percent of stores offer-year-old products for the same discount as last year. it is not a huge issue for furniture and cookware but it could matter for tech and electronics that could be outdated or lesser quality. new data shows the retailers do not necessarily see a big boost in sales by opening early on thanksgiving day.

1.25 visibility at san jose but the rest of us are just hazy but i do not expect delays at sfo and the plus is up from 24 hours ago. you can see it from the tower. napa and oakland and san jose have the highest pollution right now. as far as the forecast the next 12 hours we have high clouds and sunshine and temperatures in the middle-to-upper 60's at the cost and middle 70's for the rest of us. >> on the west coast a lot of us are drying to get to thanksgiving festivities but i have to get to this in santa rosa we have all lanes blocked northbound side of 101 at the off-ramp it has been reported a pedestrian has been hit and we have emergency crews on the scene but we do not have delays driving into south santa rosa we will let you know the developments in a couple of minutes. breaking news in san francisco: police are investigating a shooting that sent six people to the hospital.

day oakland businesses have to respare and restock. >> professors angry over developments in the shooting took to the streets and the freeways. a lot of the violence happened here on telegraph avenue and a lot of it started at the paint store with workers cloning up where paint was spilled. the windows are boardedded up. the paint is not just inside but outside, on the street and the sidewalk. look at the footprints, paint everywhere in oakland on telegraph. a lot of the cans were break windows. >> the group marched down telegraph and set fears in the streets and smashed up

businesses. a car dealership, a walgreens, a cafe. one cafe owner said he stood between his business and the protesters and said his knees were shaking. >> we stood there calmly as the glass was breaking an us and they were throwing the cans through the window, the cans of paint. we saw vandals in emeryville seeing from people's garages so not just targeting businesses. there was a heavy police presence last night and they had officers in from livermore and some great hayward, all over the bay area. they say they made several arrests and will not know the official number until later today when they go through the arrest reports. they broke it up at 1:00 o'clock a.m. and everyone went home and the protest was over but, now, the clean up begins and a business owner says he is really hoping last night was the final night of the violent protests.

it is 6:33. protesters should down two freeways in oakland last night as police tried to round up dozens of demonstrators on interstate 580 with the protesters rushing an intersection of telegraph after 9:00 laugh night blocking traffic in both direction until a few dozen officers moved in and began making arrests and did the same at 980 clogging up the lanes. a rally in minneapolis was scary when a car struck a protester and burst through a pack of protesters. several hundred gathered to show solidarity with michael brown. the video is tough to watch the driver of the car called police soon after to report the incident. ferguson police officer

darren wilson is braking his silence in an interview with george stephanopolis. our reporter is in ferguson with that story and details on the arrest last night. karen? good morning, it was calm and quiet in ferguson overnight different than the previous night's violence and chaos with a significant increase in law enforcement. on monday there were 700 national guard troops in ferguson and last night, 2,200. that may have helped prevent an escalation in violence. >> demonstrators gathered at the ferguson police department headquarters, county police used tear gas to disrupt some who burned a police car with reports of vandalism. >> we saw protesters out there, there for the right reason but there are a few bent on prevent ing this from happening

it has been as low as 1.25 visibility in santa rosa with haze in the east bay and haze over the bay itself. if that looks more murky than yesterday you are right, there is more pollution in the air than this time year.
