all day today. at noon and through the afternoon and evening, the snow is going to get heavier in new york and best but by tomorrow morning at 8:00 it is over. the next system will slide to the south. the people who can wait an extra day, you have to travel on the holiday but there are no delays weather-wise tomorrow. at home, we are doing great, fog free and no delays until the rain comes in this weekend. eric and cheryl? >> see you in a few. all lanes are open on highway 101 in santa rosa after a pedestrian was hit and killed on the freeway this morning. the c.h.p. says the 26-year-old victim was trying to cross the freeway from the east side to the west side and he was hit by a big rig towing a flatbed trailer. he was then into the path of an s.u.v. which hit and killed him. the truck driver stopped and called 9-1-1 and the driver of the s.u.v. fouled off and called the highway patrol. the victim's name hat not been released while authorities notify the relatives.

so i will stick to that. we are looking at visibility on live doppler hd and it is hazy outside. we have high pressure, sinking air and offshore breeze keeping our pollution right around us and that is why custody a "spare the air" day. temperatures are running the same up to 4 degrees warmer than this time yesterday from mid-50's in santa rosa to mid-60's around san francisco and livermore and 68 right new in half moon bay and check identity sutro tower, north bay is supposed to have the worst air quality but we are all under the burning ban until midnight and we have another "spare the air" tomorrow and they will let us know in an hour or an hour and a half if you are following me on twitter i will let you know. it will be cooler and cleaner on friday in the day but in the evening, that is when the rain will move in to the north bay and it will be soaked saturday, sunday, monday and tuesday. the best rain we have had in maybe a couple of years.

our air quality is the north bay and all of us are going to have some burning bans until midnight in san rafael, oakland, and san jose, by region you have the worst air quality and mid-to-upper 60's along the coast and upper 60 to low 70's and mild for outdoor activity and do what you can now before the rain sets in on saturdays. around the state, in worries drives mid-to-upper 60's through the central valley and 79 in san diego and a broad flag warning. tonight we are in the mid 40's inland and mid-50's around san francisco and high pressure is staying put and keeping the system at bay and we will have if rain through thanksgiving but the storms are lining up and this is how they come through, the evening hours, rain in the north bay through saturday at 8:00 in the morning and saturday evening we will see a tapering at least in the north bay and sunday is going to be one of the more dry days but it will still be raining and the heaviest of the rain is coming in on monday into tuesday and it will linger

interest tuesday evening possibly wednesday morning and that is the problem the storms are slowing down now and with that 3-6" of rain possible in the north bay and we could see flood, and trees down and 1-3" of rain for the rest of us and it will be breezy with the two storms monday and tuesday. we could have the issues with the trees coming down possibly knocking power lines. temperatures are in the 70s tomorrow for thanksgiving and 60's through sunday and upper 50's to low 60's with the heaviest rain monday and tuesday. do what you can with the outdoor activities, tomorrow and friday otherwise you will have to wait until wednesday or thursday to venture outside and not get wet. we will talk turkey happening right now, a thanksgiving tradition is underway at the white house. in a few minutes the president will pardon a thanksgiving turkey and this is to last year's event. a spokesman for the farm providing the turkey says that the lucky bird is chosen based on looks and behavior, kind of
