branchs landed on two cars nobody was hurt. this afternoon's big thud rattled nerves. >> i went doning down and found i couldn't get out of the front or side door. so we're lucky and healthy. and okay. >> they thank firefighters for helping them within minutes >> in san francisco a large sink hole opened up during the morning's storm. crews are making repairs at 6th and lake streets. this >> cities water and sewer pipes are more than 100 years old a lot of them are, anyway.

so they're starting to be cause for concern. these sewer lines probably replace them before closing up that sink hole. neighbors say they've been trying to avoid the asphalt for weeks which is where this sink hole developed. >> the city know there's is a problem. this is what we have. >> we're trying to do 10, 15 miles per year. you know? >> police say this morning a fire fell through the asphalt. she wasn't injured. involving a 110-year-old water pipe and aging sewer system. >> when collapsing it has a lot of storm water in it. not >> that

out a bit a frontal system brought us powerful storm overnight. that forecast animation at 7:00 this evening we'll see pockets of scattered showers taking us into the beginning of the morning rush. we won't have heavy waves of rain tomorrow morning it will be a little bit challenging because there will be wet spots out there and maybe some left over ponding or localized flooding. we'll see showers breaking up a bit, more showers late friday, and that passes through.
