freeways. >> amazing. lovely. looking at the san rafael, the commute along 101 is foggy and socked in. when you get to the golden gate bridge it is looking wide open and clear. we had early construction there and it looks like we still have cones to be picked up. i will show you when that happens. we have something in the roadway on 880 and oakland. i will tell you about that in a few minutes. thinking of th nature of mike. a lot going on with i-80 and amtrak both opened now through berkeley. protests shut them both down. demonstrators turned out in the largest numbers yet over alleged police brutality cases across the country. amy hollyfield is in emeryville with latest.

the biggest problems were on interstate 80. officials managed to coral the protesters to a parking lot. they were arrested. c.h.p. says it arrested 150 people last night. they are being booked into the jail in dublin. they block the interstate 80 in berkeley in both directions for an hour and a half. according to the c.h.p. some of protesters threw rocks at officers. this was a woman who was stuck in traffic who was in labor. an ambulance came and took her to the hospital. on the city streets, police made nine arrests and say there was no property damage from last night's protest, no destruction, no looting. officials estimate that 1,500 people showed up to protest last night in berkeley and it was mostly peaceful. another protest is scheduled tonight and organizers hand to

target the berkeley city council meeting. >> the st. louis county prosecutor has released new documents from the investigation into the death of unarmed black teen michael brown at the hands of a white police officer. according to the "los angeles times" documents include dramatic police radio clips and a recording of the gun slots and includes partly redarked transcripts of f.b.i. interviews with witnesses and the federal autopsy which matches two other autopsies released earlier. >> showing solidarity with protesters over the deaths of michael brown and eric garner, leave leave and others wore "i can't breathe," t-shirts last night before the big game. the players were not face fines for a uniform violation. the most powerful storm of the year, possibly in several years, is headed to pay area.

you still have time to get ready. we are in san francisco with more on the storm preparations. nick? good morning, this is a popular sight in the mission and throughout the bay area because people are getting ready for the heavy rain and wind headed this way. this is video from last night. people were preparing for storm headed this way. this is an area that is prone to flooding. business owners are fought taking chances. many started to prepare. the manager for the online clotting company is moving merchandise off of the floor because more than $20,000 of damage was caused to equipment and merchandise after water got inside. >> it is not ideal. we have a ton of stuff here, this is the warehouse and we need to getting off the ground.

been arrested following another night of demonstrations over alleged police brutality. the demonstrations were in the east bay. the c.h.p. says up to 1,500 people marched through the streets of berkeley and stopped traffic twice on interstate 80. unlike previous nights no damage to businesses was reported. bay area residents are being advised to get homes and businesses ready for a big storm headed our way from sandbags to cutting back trees and cleaning gutters people are taking steps for the storm which moved into the north bay tomorrow night. three, here it is, the warm before the storm, record highs today and tomorrow and coming up in the seven-day forecast, we will talk about a high risk of urban flooding, wind damage, high surf and moderate rock and mudslide risks. >> it may not be the rain that is troubling the commute but the fog with advisories across the bay area and socked in

live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. good morning on tuesday, december 9 at 5:29. i am eric thomas with meteorologist mike nicco and leyla gulen. you have time to prepare for the storm. >> i heard a lot of lawnmowers and trimers and leaf blowers and i heard my neighbor's sprinkler going this morning... >> here are the sprinkles coming down right now cross the north bay. you have a little bit of fog there and inland east bay. but that is the only play that really is going to get wet this morning with the sprinkles. walnut creek 680 southbound headed into the san ramon valley and toward 24, our day planner for today the fog will list and haze and like yesterday a lot of cloud cover and less sunshine

and blocking traffic in anger over fatal confrontations between unarmed blackmen and police. amy hollyfield is in emeryville. yes, if you were stuck on interstate 80 here is why. the c.h.p. says protesters blocked interstate 80 if you were in either direction and arrested 150 people. they put them in a parking lot and took them to the jail in dublin. one woman was stuck in traffic in labor and they had to get an ambulance to her to get her to the hospital. police say some threw rocks and items at them when they tried to clear them off the freeway. in berkeley police made nine arrests one a juvenile. they are still processing the arrests so the offenses are not then. the streets of berkeley were peaceful with in businesses
