effect until further notice. soupy conditions through shows so be careful. firefighters are trained to evacuate people from dangerous buildings but for a san jose engine company the dangerous building is their own firehouse. though were chased out of headquarters by a growing mold problem. matt? this is station 18, some of the firefighters from the station were sent here yesterday. closing the station in san jose is a big deal especially since the department has been dealing with issues related to low staffing and response time. here is video of the closed station, station 16, on south king road, san jose fire department says they moved an engine and a truck to other stations because of mold. it has been a problem and fire station 16 is one of the oldest in the city. fires have been redeployed to two other stations including stations 18 and 33. the san jose fire department

says coverage is still provided for the area of the closed station. the family of a california woman whose death was linked to free packaged carmel apples is suing safe way for selling the product filed in santa cruz county superior court alleging that 81-year-old shirley fray bought carmel apples from a safe way a few days before halloween the she died at a hospital on december 2 after suffering from an infection. the centers for disease control says she was sickened with the same strain that infected 28 others in continue states. five people dies. a local man was walking his dogs and mauled by two pitt bills and the dogs were put down it was so vicious. >> police are still looking for the person responsible for letting loose a pair of pit bulls that attacked larry

stacking up a little bit. as we move on to san mateo bridge as we head out of hayward to foster city the drive is clear with no delays and we are accident free. a big change from yesterday. a welcome change. we do have fog advisories. a check now of the top stories, a vicious attack in san leandro and police are looking for the person responsible for letting loose a pair of aggressive pit bulls, people and pets were hurt. amy hollyfield has the story. police say there is no sign of the owner of the two pit bull whose is accused of driving to the san lenadro marina, letting them loose, and driving off. the two dogs went on a am page. larry osborne and his two dogs were attacked by the pit bulls. it is the most vicious thing he has ever encountered. the dogs knocked him down and went for his two rescue dogs refusing to let them go and

margo suffered the most. >> pit bulls had her right here in its mouth and shaking her like a rag doll. blood going everywhere. she had the same kind of laceration on this side. and underneath. >> the three of them survived. the "contra costa times" reports that the dogs attacked another dog at the marina earlier in the morning and that dog was with a jogger and that dog had to be euthanized. police what had to hunt down the pit bulls but it took a while. when they found them they tried to taser them and it does not work much the dogs bill aggressive on the officers who then shot and killed the dogs. they believe a man set them lose at the marina driving a blue toyota truck so they are looking for him. if you have any information about this man who owned the dogs, you are encouraged to call the police.

mold has san jose firefighters out of their fire station this morning. mold contamination has forced eight firefighters from station 16 on south king road to relocate to two other stations. they have moved an engine and a truck out of the station. the department says it will not affect the fire coverage in the area. mold at station 16 has been an issue before and it is one of the oldest fire stations in the city. san francisco's police department is showing support if two fall were new york police department officers. a group from the department will head to new york city to honor two officers killed on saturday. the police chief suhr is tell his officers to be on " "heightened security alert." be smart. do not go freeway by yourselves. if there is any situation you feel you should have more officers, extra backup, call and err on the side of caution.
