an extraordinary show of solidarity for a fallen police officer in new york city. hello. as many as 25,000 law enforcement officers from around the country packed shoulder to shoulder to pay respects to officer rafael ramos and to send a message of unity at a time when criticism of law enforcement is growing louder. officers ramos and officer wenjiian liu were shot dead a week ago tied bay gunman who then killed himself. the burial service was on the scale of a national funeral.

killed by a truck. i happenedder in livermore in contra costa county. we're live in danville tonight. reporter: i'm outside pete's coffee because this is where a lot of cycling groups met up on saturdays and then head out for their rides. in this case chp officers say it was one large group or a few of them riding together, when one of the cyclists ended up in the past of an john coming josh oncoming truck. a crumpled bicycle lies on the side of the road near the accident. the water bottle still in its holder. the california highway patrol officers say a cyclist died when his bike collided with a water truck, around 9:45 al. a large group of at least 50 bikers was traveling eastbound on highland road. there will two separate accidents that happened moments apart. first, two of the riders at the front collided. then -- >> near the end of the pack as

people were swerving to avoid the collision at the front at some point another rider unknown at this time why, crossed over the double yellowlinedlined and collided with a water truck. >> the driver of the water truck was comforted by friendses at the scene. he was viz my upset and did not want to talk on camera. he is not driving for a company. it's a permanent truck there are many farms in the area. >> he saw a lot of bicyclist scrambling to avoid the first collision and that point he did see somebody come into the lane in from of him. he tried stop and wasn't able to avoid anything. >> other cyclist say these roads in unincorporated contra costa county are popular nor weekend rides. >> almost every saturday morning there's at least three or four large groups that come down. >> the victim's name has not been released. the others involved in the initial collision are being treated at the hospital.

in contra costa county, abc7 news. >> in vallejo, police are investigating a possible abduction of a woman. a man forcibly took kristen dennis from a home friday morning. two men in a newer model black mercedes-benz sedan drove off with dennis. police described the man suspected of abducting her as african-american 6'0" 250 pounds, 30 to 40 years old, with shoulder-length dread locks. a house fire in san francisco has forced a family of six to find a new place to stay. the red cross helped find shelter for the four children and their parents. they all escaped when a fire broke out just after 5:00 this morning in the sunset district. no word yet on what started the fire. to developing news now. the uncertain future of the 49ers coach. jim harbaugh. mike shumann is here now, and shu, we have been hearing these rumors now for a few days and most recent one is that michigan

>> two people face charges after two large fights involving teenagers at a sacramento mall. it happened yesterday evening atarden fair as police and mall security moved in, smaller fights broke out. police had to close the mall early. a similar scene at the same mall exactly two years ago teenagers start evidence fighting in the food court and then ran through the mall, knocking over signs and shoppers. someone thought a gunman was firing shots but that was not the case. >> a flotilla of joint container ships is causing a traffic jam in the san francisco bay. the ships are waiting to unload cargo at the port of oakland. port officials say an of 12 to 15 ships a week have come to oakland in recent months. the problem is starting at the ports of long beach and los angeles,, due to a lack of trailers to haul goods from the port work slowdown by dock

firefighters in hawai'i rescued more than 60 hikers on christmas eve when heavy rain made teams too swollen to cross on the island of kauai. some hiker were strand editor days. >> we helped each other out, we tried to keep the fire going. my backpack had instructions how to nag a helicopter down so we idea those.
