like california out here. it is bitter. it is not okay for people to sleep outside in this. shelters are doing all they can to get the homeless inside. they are making sure they do not turn anyone away skipping the pair work process and saying just get in here even if it is crowded. >> we have 50 beds and they are bunk bed style and five mats so they would be placed out in the dining area and in the living room area. those are available for people, like an overflow so if they don't have a bed they can sleep on the mat and we have people sleep on coaches. >> do few thing of burning fire, stay home today they have declareed today "spare the air" day so no burning allowed. if you do and you are caught, you could be fined anywhere from 100 to $500 so an expensive mistake.

san jose. officials are expecting such a huge rush of politicians they are bringing in extra staffers and feel offices are open tomorrow. you need to make an appointment in advance or today and you can go to one of three process, centers in person. starting today, undocumented ill grants can apply if a state driver's license and this is something they have not been able to do in 20 years. when the state started requiring roof of legal residence. the program is designed to make the roads safer and easier for immigrants to get coverage. we did a study and we found that unlicensed and revoked drivers were three times as likely to get in a fatal accident as drivers would have a valid driver's license. we are hoping with the new law the roads will become safer. the listens will not be recognized as federal identification the written test will be offered in spanish but the driving part you must prove

download from the apple app and google play. we have breaking news from missouri. rescuers needed rescuing. this is live pictures where two firefighters had to be taken to the hospital after their fire truck overturned in st. clair this morning. another vehicle was involved in the crash with the firefighters and conditions very cold. we do not know the extent of injuries to the firefighters. we do know they had to be transported to the hospital. from the east bay police chase ended with a crash in oakland. alameda county sheriff chased a white van from hayward to oakland and the chase stretched along interstate 880 and the driver tried to negotiate the off-ramp but lost criminal -- control and crashed. the driver and people inside the vehicle were taken into custody.

police used a bean bag gun to subdue a man at an oakland bart station at 5:30 last night when police received a report of a man pointing a gun at passing vehicles. police spotted the man the chase began in the bart station on 12th. the suspect was cornered and he refused to surrender police fired bean bag rounds at him. police recovered a bb gun. this affected bart service for an hour. >> this morning, the political world is remembering former november governor mario cuomo passing away yesterday at age 82. the best known political moments was right here in san francisco when he addressed the 1984 democratic national convention at the moscone center and is regarded as one of the best addresses of the 20th century. >> we proclaim as loudly as we can the utter insanity of nuclear proliferation and the need for a nuclear freeze if only to affirm the simple truth
