evening. that is comfortable. what is going on? this is starting off as the bay bridge toll plaza with traffic there stacking up in the far left hand lane and some of it is thinned out. here is a look at the golden gate bridge with travel interest san francisco is smooth with a big closure over the weekend. thank you, leyla gulen, it is now 5:02. from pacifica, police and firefighters on the scene of a fatal accident and our reporter as the impact live and you have the traffic situation. matt? yes, kristen the accident happened before 4:00 this morning and you can see the investigation is taking place right new with police on the scene and the car is on the side of skyline boulevard. car was still smoldering. an officer came across the car on fire while at the same time a person called in the crash to police dispatch. no word on the victim and an

officer said he believes this is only one person inside the vehicle. this is on the border of pacific and daly city. skyline boulevard is closed in both directions from manor to king drive. in word on how long they expect the roads to remain closed during the investigation. 5:03. breaking news from the east bay, police are looking for the gunman who shot and wounded a man in the parking lot of the san lenadro bart station. police may have a lead on surveillance video. amy hollyfield is at san lenadro bart. amy? they are looking at surveillance video to see if it captured any images of the people. things are back to norm l a -- normal at bart. people are packing last night one person was shot in the chest several times.

a group of men got off the train and walking to the parking lot and there was an altercation. police are checking surveillace cameras and they are relying on people who were here last night. we have information from witnesses we are gathering. we are collecting the information now. our detectives are on the scene. they will put the next together. >> police closed off part of the parking lot. some passenger could not get to their cars. it is open now. everything is back to normal. police have not made any arrests. they have not said what the motive is. the victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. only on abc7 news officials say the man rescued from the ocean side cliff in pacifica became stuck at high tide on the

-year-old man, a retired mortgage broker diving a red mercedes who followed simon home and the cars were captured on school surveillace camera and the man noticed his the garage. simon's lawyer said his client fireed a warning shot him twice in the stomach. the d.a. says he could refile the case but he could take a day or two. >> a third party panel will investigate deadly police shootings. right now it is the county district attorney who probe fatal shottings by law enforcement. a democratic from sacramento believes that is not ideal because the d.a. and police work closely together on other cases. county prosecution claim though treat police shootings as any other potential crime and skeptics believe that may not be

washington state claimed a home after a flooding river swept away this house just northeast of seattle. a video captured this on monday while the homeowner was out of town. we watched helplessly as the swellen river finally swept the house away. it claimed another neighbor's outbuilding and residents expect the county inspector to visit the area to assess the erosion. no one was hurt. bitter record lows with dangerous wind chills are gripping millions of americans this morning. the bitter arctic air is dipping all the way into the deep south but the midwest and plains are bearing the brunt with wind chills as low as 50 below now to washington, dc with the latest. that arctic blast coming south from canada continues to chill most of america. >> record snow fall and more than half of the country is

yes. amy? >> passengers are feeling uneasy. this happened in the parking lot at 10:30 last night. police believe a group of people got off the train and were walking to the parking lot and they got into an altercation and shots rack out. one man was shot several times. there have been no arrests. >> the information is there were multiple shots. i don't know if the victim was running from the suspects at the time of the shooting. >> more than one suspect? >> we have information leads us to believe there is more than one suspect. the victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition but we are told this morning they did stabilize him and he is in critical but stable condition. police had to block off art of the parking lot during the investigation last night so there was a time when people

could not get to their cars and this morning everything is become to normal. detectives are looking a surveillance video to see if they can get a look at who did this but they say they don't know the motive and they have not made any arrests. we continue to follow breaking news from paris french police say a dozen people are dead after a shooting at the office of a french satire magazine. the president of france is on the scene right now and calling the shooting "a terror attack" and says over attacks have been thwarted happening at the headquarters of a satire publication. five are in critical condition. a witness said he saw multiple masked men armed with automatic weapons. the attackers got away in two vehicles. the magazine has been a target before for lampooning the prophet mohammed.

dramatic pictures of a cliff respond side rescue by firefighters and police. we brought you the spot last night. officials say the man did not fall down the cliff but became stuck at high tide and they pulled him up in a rescue basket. the woman who called 9-1-1 told abc she was out on a wake in the neighborhood last night at 9:00 she stopped to watch the waves. that is when she heard a man screaming for help. she get out her flashlight but could not see anything but called 9-1-1. he was treated by mel personal but they do not know the extent of the injuries. police are searching for a criminal would wanted something for nothing but "somthing but "something," is plastic surgery. a plastic surgeon said he underwent thousands in cosmetic procedures and skipped out on the bill. this is surveillance video of the patient before he got botox injections, filler and laser resurfacing. the seven plastic surgeon says

facebook. the man wanted revenge for early arrests and created a fake facebook page in the name of the officer and distributed inappropriate perks under that officer's name. police are trying to track down a man wearing a burlap sack on his head and assaulted a jogger on monday night. he ran up behind her, grabbed the woman and tried to disrobe the woman and then he ran off. if you rely on east bay mud for your water the bill will not increase because of the downpour the tribune report as plan is on hold for pumping water from the sacramento river and charging users an extra 14 percent. the hike was scheduled for later this morning and most of the water from east bay hud -- mud is from the river but because of the drought they have looked elsewhere possibly resorting to emergency water supplies on
