abc7 news begins with breaking news. >> the breaking news is in santa rosa where miss are looking for a missing ten-year-old girl at steele lane elementary school where the girl was last seen walking to the impact room on campus this morning. >> victoria valdez is 5' 2 rich, plopped hair with highlights and 90 pounds wearing a white shirt with an owl and gray leggings. we have a map of steele lane elementary north of highway 12.

police say all the other children at steele lane elementary are safe and accounted for. here is a picture over the scene and you can see investigators with santa rosa police asking for help in mining the girl quickly. they have been searching the area the campus area after the campus itself did not find her. they have made a call out to the community. >> we want to get right to our interview this morning. joining us by person is head of the foundation to help locate missing children. morning, in the hours right after a child is missing it is scary for everyone but what are they focused on? >> what they will do is many things: they will check with the family they will question the family, they are going to check with trends, they are going to conduct a physical sweep of the school, check out any school

surveillance and the neighborhood residential and business surveillance tapes and ask people to sure on social media. >> your organization does quite a bit to assist with the search. >> we do. we physically send people up there and organize communities searches and always working with law enforcement to make sure we are not crossing paths. >> mark, we are looking at video a young girl got into the patrol car with the officer but we do not have confirmation it could be victoria but we see the back of the head a girl about ten-years old. we certainly hope that is the case, that she turned out to be fine. we do foe that police alerted businesses and residents with an automatic phone call and we just got confirmation just in from santa rosa police that, in fact that is victoria valdez and she has been found safe after being reported missing after a trip to the restroom at school, and did not result her

francisco. we will begin with eric thomas in the newsroom. eric? >> french police believe they found one of the two get away cars but there is no sign shooters or claim of responsibility. the attack, though is having repercussions on both sides of the atlantic. >> speaking at white house this morning president obama said he was shocked and saddened by the attack. >> i thought it was appropriate to express my deepest sympathy to the people of paris and the people of france for the terrible terrorist attack. >> france is on high alert after the horrific terror attack that left at least a dozen people dead. around noon local time three masked gunmen stormed the office of the french magazine, "challenger" and witnesses say they could hear the attackers shouting "god great," in arabic.

cartoonist and i mentioned it my students several of the cartoons used on exams we do each year. they are on exams each year. it is not cartoons that are underground or not well-known. they are the most prominent cartoonists in france. it is very, very shocking. >> we looked at a future covers and we saw it is extremely controversial not what you would find in the united states, even. but they deserve the freedoms they have and that is important for a strong democracy.
