subway stations fill one smoke last night. one woman died. more than 80 others were hospitalized. they believe an electrical problem inside the opportunity was the cause. they said what happened in washington, d.c. served as a safety reminder for all bay area riders and they said never enter a smoke-filled area. the recommendations come from the investigation. investigators are looking into what caused a fire that delayed thousands of morning commuters in new york city. that fire broke out at a construction site near penn station. more than 100 firefighters were battling. service in that area is back to normal. no damage done to the penn station platform or the track areas. two firefighters suffered minor injuries. and closer to home delta airlines is looking into a mechanical problem that forced the plane to make a landing today. the boeing 757 handed safely back at the airport around 9:35

this morning shortly after depart our a notice to minneapolis. the faa said the plane went into a holding pattern to burn off fuel. divers in indonesia have recovered the second black box from the crash to airasia jets and may have located the plane's fuselage. the discovery would be significant because most of the victim are more than likely still in that main section of the plane. only 48 of the victims have been recovered. that still leaves more than 100 missing. the second black box is expected to tell them why the plane went down in the java sea last month. protesters are expected to gather at city hall this afternoon to urge city leaders not to purchase the armored police vehicle partially funded. it looks similar to the one see here. in december the city council agreed to accept a $251,000

grant from the department of homeland security. it would be used to buy the armored vehicle. protesters say they're now concerned about a national trend toward military rising the local police. several gas stations in the bay area are selling regular gasoline for $2.19 a gallon. we've seen that price at the costco stations in san jose and santa clara. the average price in the bay area is $2.61. global crude oil prices are plummeting due to slowing demand and an increase of production in the u.s. the stock market ended a seaside day with small losses as the energy stocks bumped again. shares in home builders dropped after builder kb homes was weak. the market climbed earlier in the day after a survey suggested
