civil rights leader and american icon but one event recognizing martin luther king jr. is coming to an end. thanks for joining us. >> right now thousands of people are set to march in san francisco to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the march from selma, alabama to montgomery. >> let's take you outside right now for a live picture of the beginning of the parade.

the route is walking about 1 1/2 miles stopping at at&t park to commemorate the crossing of the bridge in selma. faith leaders will commemorate the vision of dr. king. >>. a group of local xhn demonstrators are planning to make their voices heard. they plan to rallying at the cal tran station and may take their message on the train as well. >> but this is the last time folks will get to ride the freedom train here in the bay area. after three decades this is the last train still running in the country and is deue to arrive any minute. nick.

>> reporter: i had a chance to talk to people who had gathered here. the crowd was absolutely huge and it was extremely emotional. i know that when that train pulls into the station there we will probably take a live picture and you will see smiling faces and you will see families. but take a look at some of the video we shot earlier today. more than 1600 people were here, first thing you have to see is the line of people waiting to take the last trip, the freedom train will ever make. declining ticket sales and degt difficulty obtaining a spoken sore are the reasons today's ride was the last one. some say the legacy looms large in the works of all those would follow him.some say the legacy looms large in the works of all those would follow him. >> we want to commemorate dr. king's legacy as a family and show our children how important it was . >> it takes a village.

the vatican iszeing the pope's schedule to the united states. he'll have stops in philadelphia, the white house and new york. the pope is coming off a sendoff in asia. music played and crowds chaptdnted that love for pope francis. an estimated 6 million came out to hear his message. there is controversy surrounding one team that is super bowl bound. the nfl is investigating whether the patriots used deflated game

balls yesterday against the colts. a deflated football would be easier to throw and catch. the patriots cruised to a big victory 45-7 to claim the afc championship. now if the league copnfirms it, they could lose a future draft pick or be fined, but it won't keep them from playing in super bowl xlix. he seahawks came back to beat green bay 28-22 in sudden death overtime. the seahawks claiming the nfc championship and a second straight super bowl trip. pack led 16-0 at one point. vegas had seattle has a 2 1/2 point favorite for the big game but that number has vanished. new this morning, lindsey vonn is making history. she's now the most successful

that will turn to hazy sunshine this afternoon. a warming trend wednesday a little bitty one. that's where possibly the spare the air begins as we'll go through consecutive days with spare the air. for sure at least friday, saturday, sunday could be spare the air days. king tide, we already had today's hire at theere at the golden gate bridge, but a couple more tomorrow and wednesday. we'll go through san rafael's real quick. the park and ride will blood more than likely. in oakland, yours happens about 11 minutes after is an are a fael. about 47 minutes after the golden gate. so tuesday, about 11:33 a.m.. let's talk about what will happen as far as two areas of high pressure.
