anti-abortion activist take to the streets of san francisco in the annual march for life with new hope the procedure will be outlawed. >> about proabortion rights protesters say they won't give up the fight. >> a republican-led congress contributed to an optimistic tone during the march for life. the house recently passed a bill to ban taxpayer moore for abortions and republicans passed a bill that would mandate ultrasounds for women seeking abortions. >> a separate bill to ban late term abortions was scrapped for lack or support.

waves. here's a live look where waves could reach 15 feet or higher. let's get more on the warning and the warm weather from abc7 news meteorologist drew tuma with live doppler 7hd. >> we have been advertising the high surf for the past of days and now the waves are crashing on the shore. high surf advisory in effect until tomorrow afternoon. waves currently anywhere from eight to 11 feet in half moon bay. but the waves kind crease up to 15 feet possible. that means they could wash over large rocks and jetties and with the ocean churning it means rip currents are much stronger than usual. but you could not ask for better beach weather on this saturday. take a look at highs so far. first, our average temperatures some four to nearly 13 degrees above normal. oakland hit a new record high tied -- today, 71. and this is the middle of the warmup. even warmer air arrives for

on january 7th gunmen killed 12 people at the newspaper paris. >> a tense s.w.a.t. standoff in oakland involving four children ended peacefully after ten hours. it began at 10:30 last night at a home on west street in north oakland. s.w.a.t. officers blocked off nearby streets during the strandoff. police responded to a report that a woman had been assaulted by the father of her children and he was refusing to allow her to leave the house. the standoff ended at 8:00 this morning when s.w.a.t. officers entered the home arresting to the man and freeing the women and her children who range in age from two to 13 years old. police arrested a woman in connection with a deadly hit and run accident in oakland. 30-year-old ann park of oakland faces felony hit-and-run charges. sky 7hd was over the scene yesterday morning. the victim is identified as an 84-year-old oakland woman. >> scary moments inside a liquor store this morning. watch as surveillance video

hours, future temperatures, tomorrow morning, going to be a milled overnight period. only 40s and a couple 50s for saturday -- sunday start. now, as we get to sunday afternoon, that wind really kicks up out of the south, helping to bring temperatures into the 70s. san jose, morgan hill half moon bay, oakland. so records for sunday think a few more locations will break the records on sunday. especially oakland, once again forecasted high of 74. the old record, 73 set back last year, san jose and gilroy likely to break their record set last year as well. right now look at napa. their record pretty safe, set more than a century ago in 1899. it was warm on this date become then with a high of 83. looks safe. along with the warmth, though not "spare the air" is in effect for sunday so no wood burping. the north bay unfortunately looking at poor air quality for sunday. overnight flows the bay area, 43

in san rafael. overnight, 48 in san francisco, dropping to 46 in san mateo. patchy fog developing. 39 overnight in san jose, 41 overnight low in santa cruz. high s on sunday total sunshine but haze before so the "spare the air" in effect, getting up to 69 in san francisco 74 oakland, 74, san jose. 75 santa cruz. 69 in fairfield. for the accuweather seven-day forecast calls for the record warmth on sunday. on monday a few high clouds move in but temperatures still well above normal. there is a slight chance of a shower tuesday afternoon the system moves to the east of the bay area. could throw a sprinkle. i think the best chance would be in the south bay on tuesday. but nothing widespread. on wednesday, sunshine on the way, temperatures moderate a back into the 60s. look at the skies. by thursday friday, saturday temperatures go back up once again and all indications next weekend, the warmth is going to stick with us. >> i don't like when you put the
