huge. check out the images of what firefighters were up against at mission when the fire started at 6 pock last night. a man died in the fire six people were hurt. this was a three-story building a mix-used building with businesses on the first and second floors. ed third floor was residential. some living up there had to use the fire escape to get out. >> around 6:30 i heard someone screaming on the second floor. there are kids up there that run around and about five minutes later i saw the fire trucks pull up on mission street and they looked at us. >> the six people taken to the hospital suffered burns and smoke inhalation. a firefighter was one of the injured. it took so much water to fight the fire it created minor

flooding with thousands of gallons of water with nowhere to go and 40 people have been displaced by the fire, the red cross is helping them. the building looks like it is a total loss. they are looking for the cause. it doesn't look suspicious but arson is investigateing. >> a man was coming home from work and could only watch as the home went up in flames living in the building with his family for 12 years. his brother and stepfather were home when the fire break out. the stepfather ran out and knocked on doors to alert neighbors. >> he rushed from the kitchen and headed to the bathroom and he was coming back he watched the flames from one of the closets. >> it lost everything. >> the red cross opened an evacuation center for residents at city college. the best way to help is to
