the breaking news is in the east bay where police have made an arrest in a disturbing attack. >> and an 8-year-old girl was molested in an alameda county store just steps from her mother. >> good evening. i'm dan ashley. >> i'm ama-daetz. there is disturbing new details about the suspect. alan? >> investigators had suspected it this guy had done this before and tonight they say their suspicions were confirmed. meanwhile customers and employees in the store say they were happy to hear of the arrest. the identity of the suspect has not been released, but the alameda county sheriff investigators say they positively identified him on surveillance cameras. they say he is a 33-year-old man who sexually assaulted an 8-year-old girl in the toy

live doppler 7hd is showing no green on the screen. that's all going to change as we head toward friday and saturday and sunday and monday even. here is the first storm. there is a second storm due in and the two of them will soak the bay area. let's start first with the atmospheric river. a high moisture content and there is a deep plume of moisture that is collected right at us on friday. that's when we are going to get drenched in the bay area. it will start to shift more to the south as we head toward saturday and it will turn to showers for your saturday plans. right now we are seeing the temperatures in the 50s. 46 in petaluma. we are seeing a view of san francisco with the cloud cover and even seeing fog toward livermore. rain in the north bay tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow evening. heavy rain and strong winds for friday. we are looking at wet off and on this upcoming weekend. if you look at what is really changing this is a pattern we

have been waiting to change up. it is the ridge blocking the storm track. it is edging eastward as it loses ground. the first storm comes in friday to saturday and the second storm sunday into monday. this one is not as wind ay and this is not as wet. but we will get the much needed rain. let's start our computer animation for tomorrow morning. fog will be a problem in parts of the bay area. watch out. a lot of cloud cover out there. spotty showers for the morning and afternoon. and then by 5:00 p.m., some steady rain starts to approach the north bay during the evening commute and slides southward. 5:00 a.m. on friday we see the wet roadways around san francisco and then shifting east and southward. lunchtime, heavy rain is slicing across the bay area. 5:00 p.m. it looks nasty for your friday get away. wind and heavy rain and look at this at 9:00 p.m. we are just getting soaked as the storm sits over us. and then it eases up.

saturday scattered showers and you may get a sunny break. wree will see the second storm sunday into monday and that will bring us more rain. up until saturday afternoon, almost a foot of rain in the north bay mountains. the santa cruz mountains half a foot is possible. two to four inches the central bay and south bay, we are looking at one to two inches of rain. a healthy dose, not a few hundredths. up to a foot of snow in the sierra nevada. this is going up to 10:00 a.m. on saturday. the wind will be problematic. wind advisory switches to a high wind watch late tomorrow night and into tomorrow night. traveling up there, watch out. the temperatures first thing in the morning mid40 tots low 50s. it is definitely going to be a cloudy gray start tomorrow. and it will stay cloudy for your thursday afternoon. except for a few spotty showers that could develop. we are watching heavy rain and wind on friday. wet on saturday with sunny
