the rain and wind may be gone but the bay area is still feeling the effects of this weekend's storms. residents near cedar court warned to stay in tham homes after a large tree fell on power wires. >> and crews haed a hard time getting to all the trees knocked over by the storm. these two 30 footers blocked the sidewalk near the financial district. and trees also blocked paths in golden gate park. >> loose soil, highway 9 is shut down after the large mud slide covered the roadway. >> ahead we turn to spencer christian with our first look at his akccuweather forecast. >> clear skies and calm

conditions ahead. but it was a powerful storm. mainly clear skies right now. but let's look back at the peak gusts from yesterday. this is a live view from emoriville at the western sky. ups 78 miles per hour. pacific hills, 63 miles per hour. 59 at los gatos. and things are much calmer now. and skies clearer as we look over san francisco. 61 in san francisco. 59 half-moon bay. more temperature reads. lowe 60s. and i'll show you what's coming our way. it is going to really warm up later this week. show you ha moment. >> the biggest issue still lingering from the storm is power outages.

>> not many left but a few neighborhoods lost power last night and still waiting this afternoon. >> are they still waiting wayne? >> good afternoon larry. they still have. 19 hours in, pg&e has now called in more reinforcements. the broken power line over my shoulder. people working in the trees wov sabove it. no estimate when it is going to be fixed. 3730 370 people still without power at this point due to high winds last night. >> where is the sound of chain saws? that is what residents would expect on a scene like this. but in the morning after high winds blew over a tree which downed three poles and knocked out power to 370 people. it's been slow going. >> i'm a little disappointed. it didn't seems like things were

going real fast. at noon i didn't hear a lot of chain saws and stuff. and i'm from back east. a big storm, lines are down. and 8:00 in the morning chain sauce are going and clearing. >> manpower was stretched to its limits. while they worked, nearby residents like modi did not. she has a home office with dead computer dead. >> i can't eat, cook or anything. >> here is another one of the 3070 without power. in the meantime inside his home -- dead switches. no lights. no refrigeration except for what the refrigerator keeps cold. >> computer no go, internet no cut. shut down. >> and the telephone? in the front yard charging from the battery of his car.

it's not exactly third world here but this is as close as the residents ever want to get. >> what are you going to do if you are inside the house and the phone rings here? >> good question. i didn't know any of i didn't think of that. hopefully nobody calls me. >> except maybe pg&e. >> leave to it wane to think of the one thing you don't want to have happen. the latest outage numbers. 16 162,000 lost power during the storm. 1500 remain without of electricity. the majority in the north bay where 810 customers have no power. followed by the peninsula with 300. and pg&e has 2,000 crews working. >> well a section of highway 9 in the sanlt cruise mountains remains closed after a mud slide. >> the mud came down around 3:40 this morning just west of highway 9/highway 35 junction.

you too -- >> reporter: as they do every time someone is killed in san francisco t arch diocese sends a priest to the murder site. today's prayer was for a 36-year-old trans gender woman stabbed to death on the first day of this month. >> she was a really beautiful soul. >> daniele castro says the victim was like a sister to her. the person who killed her then committed suicide. the san francisco police are not conform confirming that, saying only the suspect is no long aerofleter a threat to anyone. >> there is no public safety threats at this time. >> there is a lot of unanswered questions. but the one thing i know is that i'm not going to take it anymore. it is time for us to stand up. together. and change the system. change society.

cancellations. hundreds of delays. and the oakland international has no delays related to the east coast storm. >> we had such a good storm and today it all seems calm. >> we wish more rain but instead we're getting heat. >> it is going to feel almost like summer. and we could use more rain but we're thap those powerful winds have left the bay area. mainly clear skies on the doppler right now. and mainly clear skies in emoriville at the western sky. bright with a few clouds. forecast features. further clearing overnight. warming trend begins on tuesday. mid 70s or higher by the end of the week in inland locations. the big storm taking its rain

and winds with it. high pressure is rebuilding. that will be the dominate feature the next several days. overnight into tomorrow skies clearings. sunny skies tomorrow. and sunny and warmer days ahead. much warmer as a matter of fact. we're going to use downtown san jose as our indicator of what the high temperature trend will be like the next seven days. in san jose, look for highs in the lowe 70s by thursday. actually by wednesday. and thursday friday and saturday we'll see high temperatures in the mid 70s. 76, 75. and earl next week temperatures taper off into the low 70s to upper 60s and that is the range we can expect in most inland locations and even around the bay shoreline by the end of the week. it is going to be preaching record territory. overnight mainly clear sky a few clouds. maybe a couple of patches of fog in inland areas. and generally in the mid to upper 40s to right around 50 in

. in head lines where you live at 4:30 a driver accused of killing a woman in a street race in san jose faced the judge today. the 18-year-old faces manslaughter charges. he is out of custody and will be back in court march 2nd. police belief he and a second man were raceing when their cars

collides and one struck and killed a woman. and still out of power. an outage is effecting customers vallejo. power remains out in ploem avenue in vallejo. the storm created a muddy mess in the santa cruz mountains. a mud slide closed the roadway. cal cal trans is hoping to have it open by 5:p.m. all the rain provided a much needed benefit for the reservoirs. abc is at the san pablo reservoir with a look at the storm's impact. lee yan? >> one of the things i like about people in the bay area is that they are reasonable and practical. we all know that the storm wasn't enough to declare an end to this drought. things are still below average. and people are reasonable because they know that there may

be consequences, financial consequences. >> this kind of rain brought some relief to water agencies. east bay mud recorded nearly 5 inches of rain at their reservoirs in the sierras. and two and a half inches down below. >> we still need probably 20-25 inches of rain to not have a shortage later this year. and it lease looking less and less likely. >> right now the storage level is 73% of where they want it to be. low rain totals and record setting temperatures have added to the problem. also -- resources control board ordered east bay mud to release some water from the comanche reservoir. today the comanche is only at 31%. east bay mud is hoping the snow pack will eventually replace. so water. except that the snow pack is one-third of what it should be.

if things don't improve east bay mud officials say they may have to pump water from the river. >> that costs us a lot more in energy that's passed on to the customers later this year. >> this customers were asked to increase their voluntary conservations to 15%. >> in the mediterranean climate. so we have to take that consideration. >> it is already so expensive when you have a family of five even just the minimum to take shower, that kind of thing. not a fan of that. >> any rate increase will be decided some time in the spring. leann me len dez. >> the captured 26-year-old american aid worker was killed in a jordanian air strike last week. she was taken hostage in august

florida mom who gave birth to a 14 pound baby late last month. she gave birth to her son avery an january 29th after 18 hours of labor. her doctor knew he was going to be big. probably about 10 points but no one thought 14 pounds. >> they were like oh my god. your baby weighed 14 pounds, 1 ounce. what? my baby weighed what? >> they were like your baby is adorably huge. >> adorably huge. >> he was delivered naturally. no c-section. she didn't even know she was pregnant with big avery until her third trimester. no morning sickness. she says she didn't gain any weight. experts say only 1 in every 100,000 babies born weighs more than 14 pounds. just more to love. >> a lot more. >> yeah. >> baby avery is going directly to the nfl draft by the way.

anthem hack? >> oh yeah. you did it before there was an issue or at least it appears that way. the cost $10 in the state of california to put the freeze on. and then if you want someone to check your credit in order to get a car loan, house loan or something like that. you have to pay to take it off. the only exception is if you have been a victim of id theft and then it doesn't cost you anything. i would warn you however that you might want to check. several years have gone by. we don't have a 100% record on this thing. make sure the freeze is still there. probably is. check it out. if it is yeah you probably wouldn't have a problem. >> is that something you recommend? >> if you're a little paranoid or don't want to think about it. it is a good thing to do. but remember you can't just apply for a credit card then. it becomes a big teal. >> thank you. >> my driver's license was scanned at a local store when i bought some could have syrup. what was that for? >> weird. that happened to me when i was

>> a teenager ambushed a pizza delivery woman. robbed, and sexual assaulted her. abc 7 news reporter is live at the antioch police department with the story. tiffany. absolutely horrifying. >> reporter: it is. and police say the juvenile suspect specifically called for a pizza to commit the robbery and when he saw it was a female delivery driver that the sexual assault could have been a crime of opportunity. driving into the blue bell circle, the average visitor is on guard. residents know better. >> you got to be careful out here. >> he won't let his children out alone. >> they don't go outside unless we're watching. >> and they are keeping an especially close on their taur after hearing aboutier. a 17-year-old called the domino's on hill crest and asked for delivery. a few minutes later a

22-year-old female driver left the restaurant and drove about the mile to the address. >> as soon as she exit herd car she was approached by a man at gunpoint who ordered her back into her car and made her drive to a different location. and at that location he sexual assaulted her and he robbed her of some personal items. then made her drive him back to the same area where he had originally met her and he fled the scene from there. >> captain brooks said the victim immediately called police. >> she was very traumatized and shaken. but a very brave woman who did an excellent job of providing us information. >> officers arrested the juvenile suspect who has a prior criminal record several hours later. today the domino's supervisor didn't want to talk but domino's corporate spokesperson released a statement that reads in part it is unthinkable that something like this could happen to an innocent woman simply trying to earn a living.
