el cerrito where robbers storm a pizza shop and shot an employee. good evening. i'm amma. >> i'm dan. happened just before 8:30 tonight at the little caesar pizza on san pablo avenue. >> 7 news reporter is live in el cerrito with the latest. alan? >> the 2 male suspects employee gave it to them and they still ended up shooting her. police say this happened around 8:30 tonight in el cerrito just off i 80 on portrero avenue. there were 3 employees in the restaurant when this happened. the wounded employee in her 20's shot one time and rushed to john muir hospital in walnut creek. her condition is unknown. there are several surveillance camera in the business but police say the men were has haded. now police are looking for the 2 men last seen running across the parking lot. that's the latest from el cerrito, reporting live abc 7 news. >> thank you. >> friends family gather at the

spot where security guard was shot and killed saturday night. manny being remembered tonight as a hero. hero who jumped in the lien of fire to protect his partner. happened outside a liquor store on north capitol avenue in san jose and that's where lillian jones us live with more on the story. lillian? >> this is the second night a row where friends family held a vigil. this time, though, vigil. this time, though, fellow security guard talked about how manny died while saving his life. >> friends co-workers rae lease balloons. their way of reaching manny in heaven. to them he's an angel and a hero. a security guard at the restaurant and bar here was shot and killed saturday night while chasing down a thief who stole cigar from the liquor store next door. jonathan was working with him that night and doesn't want to stay shown until the suspects are caught. >> guy could have driven away but instead one of the one of the guys stuck out a gun and

>> all right sand why thank you. >> bay area family is struggling with unbearable emotions and financial stress. the mother is battling a flesh eating bacteria why. family shared the story only on abc 7 news with reporter david louie. mrs. lee was diagnosed on february first, bacteria produce toxin that destroy tissue including skin and/or began. the family doesn't know how she got the infection. lee has had 4 operations including the amputation of her right arm the amputation of her right arm. >> she will be faced with like what happened to my right arm. her fing remembers also at risk of amputation. same with her toe. she look at them every day whenever she open her eye and she wonders what is going on because she look at them with puzzle look. >>reporter: relatives and friends have set up a go fund me campaign to help with medical bills. nearly 40,000 dollars has been raised. >> all right. you are about to meet a remarkable bay area teenager. truly a star where you live. turned his passion

for reading in a powerful effort to spread the word about literacy in his community. cornell is in the newsroom with the story. cornell very impressive young man. >>reporter: absolutely he's one amazing teenager dan. he created a collection drive like no other and you won't believe how many books he got. 15-year-old ryan trainer is all about books. he's been reading to kids. since he was a kid. >> i always had a lot of books growing up and i loved reading and then you get out there in the real world and you realize that not everybody has that opportunity. >> this eagle scout and sophomore at is st. francis high school mountain view was concerned about declining literacy rate so he got to work. he created a youth literacy council and start add book drive for kids without. >> we put out the book in bin and got the whole community involved. >> ryan never dreamed how successful the book drive would be. he started something in his community and the books started rolling in. >> when it was over ryan
