>> she developed in an environment, in a family that respected her self-identification, her insistence and persistence. >> honda says he wishes his granddaughter will feel safe at school without fear of feeling bullied. david louie, abc 7 news. one person is on the loose a day after gunfire broke out at a popular bar packed with customers. the shooting around 10:00 last night left two injured inside a sports bar. police revealed this morning they have made one arrest now, this incident marks the third shooting this week in or around a vietnamese cafe restaurant or nightclub in san jose. police are looking into whether there is a gang war perhaps underway. >> palo alto police are looking for two burglars who crashed their minivan stealing thousands of dollars of merchandise. it happened early this morning

on california avenue. this picture from the bay area news group shows the boarded up front door after it was shattered. the security gate was also smashed and the store was ransacked. police say the dramatic crime could be related to this week's burglary in a high end audio shop in mountain view, because the suspects appear to have driven a similar looking getaway vehicle. that one was captured in part on surveillance video. no gold nuggets have been found and no one's been arrested. there's one bright spot since masked gunmen stole an suv. it's now reopening. vick lee is there with what's happened in the weeks since the destructive heist. >> this museum was closed for almost a month since that brazen robbery happened in january. now, the fbi is not talking but another law enforcement source tells us of course this case is still very much alive, you've mentioned it, no suspects yet,

in those gold nuggets have yet to be found. since this happened there's been a rash of other robberies in the city, police are still trying to figure out if those robberies were committed by the same group of thieves. at the opening ceremonies wells fargo president read a letter from a fourth grader who had just visited the museum days before the crime. >> this has broken my heart just like the glass was broken. >> it was a crash and grab in the middle of the night. the thieves driving an suv into the glass entrance holding a security guard at gunpoint and making off with gold nuggets from a display case. the stolen nuggets have been replaced, but the fbi has advised wells fargo not to talk about their enhanced security. since then there have been three takeovers of jewelry stores in the city, all this month. a tiffany's store on market street, this jewelry score on union square two weeks ago, and

two days ago, two men ransacked a shop at pier 39. two to three men armed with a handgun, taking over jewelry stores when they're open for business. the takeovers including the wells robbery appear to be well coordinated. sergeant monica mcdonald. >> the three takeover robberies have all happened very quickly. the suspects were in and out of the businesses, the max amount of time was two minutes they spent. >> the similarities suggest the same robbers may have committed all the robberies. police have yet to make that connection. the quickness of the takeovers, two minutes makes it hard for police to find witnesses who can identify them. >> plus the thieves have all been masked. vic lee, abc 7 news. a woman has told the petaluma police she was kidnapped and sexually abused for several years. the 22-year-old woman said she was kidnapped three weeks ago in santa rosa. she was beaten and sexually

abused. she managed to escape after her captors left the door open. the s.w.a.t. team swarmed the house and detained several people. a new report on a brutal crime released today finds a student who killed six uc santa barbara students scoured the internet for ways to kill his victims. elliott rogers used knives to stab his victims, one of them 94 times. the 22-year-old rehearsed the killing. he killed his two roommates, their friends in his apartment, gunned down two women, and killed a sixth person. 14 people were also injured before rogers finally shot himself. >> abc 7 news was on the bay bridge today when a chp officer crashed. it happened on the lower deck just after noon the officer lost control as he was trying to pull over another motorcycle. the cop was able to lay the bike down and had bads bruises,

thankfully. another chp officer pulled over another biker and wrote him a ticket. no work today at the port of oakland. negotiations involving workers at 29 west coast ports have been going on for nine months. ships are often waiting out at sea for hours to unload their cargo. this coffee shop in oakland relies on almost all of their beans that arrive by ship. >> as each day goes on it's getting harder and harder to get our coffee off the boat. every single pound, every single bean of coffee we roast comes from -- comes off the boat basically. >> the labor dispute means longer waits for customers who want certain products. that could change if the dispute is not resolved soon. super bowl 50 will be played in february of next year at levi stadium in santa clara, as you know. the deadline is coming up fast now for local businesses that
