approaching the richmond-san rafael bridge pushing to 580 traffic is calm this. you get to the golden gate bridge and we have empty conditions but we have high wind advisory for a couple of our bridges and one is the bay bridge, san mateo bridge and the richmond-san rafael bridge. >> thank you leyla in santa rosa there is a heavy police presence involving a possible home invasion and shooting. our reporter, amy hollyfield, and at kaiser permanente medical center in santa rosa. amy? >> this is not something you see often, a crime scene at at hospital. part of the hospital at kaiser permanente is proposed roof by crime tape and investigators here and we see a body covered by a tarp. this started at a home in santa rosa at 1:00 o'clock a.m. this morning. we are told they people break into a home and the police say

the resident fired at the intruders hitting one of them. then fast forward an hour 2:00 in the morning the membership waved down a driver of a pickup, asked for a ride to the e.r. and said one of them was hurt and pleading and he put them in the back of the truck and started driving to the hospital and a sheriff deputy pulled over the truck realized what was going on and a stand off started and it took 30 minutes to get the men in the back of the pickup to surrender or the man. there was a man in the back of the trouble that surrendered and they discovered the second man did die. they are still looking for the third man so a manhunt is underway right new for the third person believed it have been an intruder in the home. this story is still developing. we are on the scene and we will have updates and bring you any developments when we get them. thank you a san jose

community is grieving after the death of a popular produce vendor hit by a suspected drunk driver. hernandez died yesterday a day after the accident. he was working with his wife when a car driven by a 25-year-old slammed into the stand on saturday. his wife is recovering, police arrested the driver at the scene. >> a woman in her 30s in critical condition after she and another woman were struck by a car in sunnyvale, the second woman died. police have not released her name but she was in her 50s hit in the crosswalk at north fair oaks avenue and north wolf road yesterday afternoon. the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police. >> investigators say a three-alarm fire in san francisco castro caused $1.4 million in damage and flames ripped through two buildings on saturday at 15th and the fire displaced a dozen me.

a third building had water damage and animal care officials treated a cat. no people were hurt. the cause of the fire is under investigation. >> utility crews have patched the sinkhole outside the symphony haul in san francisco. a water main caused part of the street to cave in and created a muddy mess for arriving symphony fans but the concert hall was not damaged. >> officials in the east by are cracking down on resident whose steal tap water. officials say with the drought, they have noticed an increase in water theft. they are looking into adopting fines or a criminal penalty for water hooves. the district is the second agency in the east bay to consider tougher action against water thieves. the water district has in place a fine of $250 for first offense and $500 for a subsequent offense. officials will meet next month to consider the penalties.

covering benicia, san ramon, san mateo and all the bay area this is abc7 news. good morning everyone 5:12 on the o news. you can see looking across the bay it is fairly breezy. there are high wind advisories on the bridges so keep more hands on the wheel. >> this morning california has agreed to pay investors $24 million to settle a lawsuit stemming from the 2010 fiscal crisis. the governor arnold schwarzenegger made a deal to sell 11 of the well-known properties including a knew in san francisco for $2.5 billion. it was an effort to get short-term cash. the governor brown called the plan shortsighted and pulled the flood and investors sued to get their money back. >> san diego is not giving up on the chargeers without a fight.

and now, looking at live doppler hd we still have gusts around 25 in fairfield and 20 in sfo and 18 in mountain view and our fastest ones right there, we will look at the golden gate bridge not busy right now but in an hour it will be crowded and you will be dealing with a little bit of a cross wind gusting to 30 miles per hour. it is coming from the northeast and blowing to the southwest. one of the many bridges affected and often our north-south bridge is affected by the wind. sunny today, it will be windy this morning, and it will become breezy this afternoon and it will not come until we come into overnight and through tomorrow morning and it will be clear and calm and cooler pause of that with bone dry air. it is cold. light showers are possible on friday and saturday and not

the parking lot is roped off at kaiser permanente in santa rosa. they have been focused on the truck inside the cream tape which is where they found suspects including one dead man. police were on the scene of a home invasion in santa rosa this was after 1:00 o'clock this morning. they put at the word to the neighboring agencies to look out for the men who they say break and a home. they said check the hospitals because they believe that home owner had shot one or two of the men. an hour later this truck pulls into kaiser permanente and the deputy pulls them over. it took 30 minutes and there was a stand off involved and though were able to get the the police convince add man month was hurt to surrender and he is in the hospital. they covered a man inside was dead, a man inside the truck was dead. they are questioning the driver and trying to figure out what

his role is in all of this if anything. the police say that they are still trying to sort out several details and they are hard at work. we will be here getting updates to bring you when we have them. in santa rosa for abc 7 news. workers are on the job at the port of oakland after a dispute over break times led to another work stop agency and the statement was issued saying arbitrator ruled that the long shoremen were conducting illegal work stopans on sunday. they say they were locked out leading to disruption of work that lasted the entire day. tuckers are lined up this morning for the halls and all west coast ports are brimming with merchandise. it will take a while to clear the backlog. >> people are still talking about it the morning after the oscars and the stars are not the

>> covering santa close, berkeley, san jose and all the bay area, this is abc7 news. a south bay man is under arrest for allegedly robbing a girl scout who was selling cookies in san jose. police say year, he stashed a cash box from a 10-year old girl selling cookies with her troop
