kgo -- live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news a crash and grab problemfully san francisco. >> police are looking for one suspect who rammed a truck into a store in san francisco early this morning. our reporter is outside the store this morning. yes this burglar did more than steal a few things he completely damaged the front of the building and the small business owners are devastated. this happened just after 4:00 this morning. we are at audio vision on

california near polk street in san francisco. a man in a silver pickup truck backed the vehicle on to the sidewalk and rammed it into the front of the business. he was only inside a few minutes and was able to grab several high end electronics. randall johnson who co-owns the business with his friend says that it is filled with things like stare yes equipment and home theater systems and it is going to cost an estimated $100,000 just to repair the structure alone. >> it and pretty raw. that is my business. you can see most of the damage behind us and that is probably going to be the most significant cost to the owner. he did have pretty extensionive security as you can see, a gated window and the individual that was driving the truck at the time had to back into it at least twice to get n police are reviewing surveillance video and investigating if this is related to six similar burglaries that

happened in the city in the past year. they have not made an arrest. >> officers are looking for a four door silver pickup with damage to the back. the suspect is only described as male wearing dark clothing. the business owners say once they are able to get all of this cleaned up they do plan to be open today despite the damage. thank you this crime closely mirrors another crash and grab just over a week ago two burglars smashed a van through the front of a photography shove in palo alto and they had installed roll down gates after a burglary a few years ago but they still made off with thousands in equipment. police say the vehicle is an older maroon minivan matched in use the in a similar burglary in mountain view this week. >> measles fears are growing, thousands may have been exposed from the peninsula to san

plan's bicycle and the officers drove up and saw the crime in progress. the police chief said although the officers were not in uniform, they did have their badges on. the chief says the officers both fired at the man when he would not drop his knife. they found six bullet casing. the bicycle owner was not hurt. police say at this point it appears that the shooting was justified. >> in interviewing the victim the victim told the can't from mission station himself that he was coming after me with a knife this big. that is -- the knife was not that big but it is large and he thanked the captain saying "you saved my life." >> they have not identified the man who was shot and say it appear he is in his 20's and hope to have a townhall meeting about shooting on monday. but they are still ironing out the details.
