but now people are being told not to come to campus. our reporter is there with the new developments. good morning eric we are at the west entrance where protesters are making sure no cars can get through. in the past hour the university issued a campus alert on the website saying "access to campus is blocked and individuals are advised fought to come to campus ." we the goal of the protesters was to shut down the campus. only one dining hall is open serving drinks and cold cereal but no hot meals. demonstrators gathered at 4 ok a.m. and broke into groups to block the entrances and exits and are taking part in 96 hours of action rallying against several issues including tuition hikes and policing and privatization. >> the trend privatization at the university is increasing fees and cutting of programs
