presence here. the san jose police department s.w.a.t. vehicle is here. this came about because an officer told us that a resident in the area reported they saw a man upping fences and pointing something at that person. officers believe it could be gun. they are doing a house-to-house and yard to yard search near the fairgrounds. a man was carjacked by to men near the fairgrounds and they used a gun. police tracked the car and found it in shows and that is when the chase started from 280 to 85 and helped here in sunnyvale. they ran into a deadend and jumped out and ran. a handgun was found near. >> we have used the k-9 to search for the suspect. the k-9 has led us to an area that is like a water culvert piping type of area. i have not been over there. but it is possible that our

suspects. that search is spanning three cities. sunnyvale, mountain view and los altos. >> now the latest in the scene. >> we are here north of fremont avenue in sunnyvale and this is where the focus of the manhunt is. an officer told me a man was seen upfences in this area and pointed something. police believe it was a gun. here is video from 20 minutes ago of swat team members and a police dog gathered in the middle of the road and officers are going to be going yesterday to with regard to and house-to-house searching the area looking for one of two carjacking suspects. this was carjack after midnight at tully road in east san jose near the santa clara county fairgrounds and the carjackers used the gun. police tracked the car and found it at meridian and san jose and that is when ally speed chase started from 280 to 85 and ended up in sunnyvale adjacent to 8 a and ran into a deadend.

that is when they juneed out and ran the a handgun was found. at that time a police dog led officers to a culvert next to a waterway, and that cuts under 85. the carjacked vehicle was towed and the highway is open. it was closed early this morning as the officers had to get across 85. officers are still staying on the los altos side in case another suspect is over there but the big focus is here on south bernard oh avenue with officers trying to capture a carjacking suspect they believe is armed. in official word on the shelter in place in this area but i talked with an officer and he recommended people in this area lock their doors lock their witnesses and stay inside. 6:32. we have british news from in month where two police officers are in the hospital after a late my shooting outside ferguson city hall. eight happened during a police
