by the coliseum we have a car in the ditch. the tow is en route. >> oakland police are looking for the hit-and-run driver responsible for a violent crash that sent five to the hospital. the crash happened at 86th and mcarthur boulevard at 9:00 and we adult passengers and three children a baby and eight years old and ten-year old. the jaws of life were used to rescue an adult and a child. >> an investigation is underway after an armed man died trying to escape sheriff deputies. authorities got a call at 6:30 saying a man was flashing a gun at a restaurant and threatening to kill people. the suspect drove off leading a deputy on a chase reaching 100 miles per hour. he crashed the car into a tree and burst into flames on highway 1 north of the highway.
