[ inaudible ] >> she is crashing into every car. we will have to take lethal force. >> this started dug an investigation into a stolen vehicle. police attempted to pull over the driver of the volkswagen at the corner of van ness and pine at 7:00 last night. when they presented their badges the woman took off. police say she started driving erratically to lose them and was driving on the sidewalk and hitting other cars and turned toward the officers. they opened fire. >> she was crazy. she was driving through the gas station at 30 miles per hour. >> vehicle made it to the sidewalk, off the sidewalk several times drove at them and they they they needed to force they did. >> the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. she hit several other cars but no one else was seriously

injured. it is not clear why she acted the way she did. her name has not been released. police and the district attorney will investigate the shooting. in stockton police are regulating a driver by shooting that left three people dead and four others wounded. it happened before 8:30 last night outside of market in an area known for drug trafficking. the motive for the shooting is not then but police brought out the gang unit to investigate. two of the dead were women. the wounded are being treated at local hospitals and they are expected to survive. >> authorities have revoked a taxi exempt status of blue shield of california which could potentially put nonprofit on the hook for tens of millions in state taxes each year. according to lot lat they stripped blue shield of the exemption from the california income taxes in august. the move by the tax board comes as the third largest health

insurer faces fresh criticism over rate hikes executive pay and $4.2 billion in financial reserves. blue hold is protesting the decision. >> the officer at the center of the san francisco police department texting scandal is talking only at abc7 say he is not a racist. we sat down with former police officer who was convicted of public corruption in december. the offensive text were between he and four current members of the force who have been reassigned to where they have no public contact. he said the text messages are being misinterpreted by a public which doesn't know would he really is. >> if i offended anyone i am sorry. i am truly, truly sorry. however, it is banter among friends. if you call me ratist i swear to god, i am not racist.

santa cruz county is taking a stand in the debate over childhood vaccines. supervisors voted to support a california legislative bill that eliminates the exemption that allows parents to site personal beliefs and avoid vaccinating their kids. the controversy has intensified since the measles outbreak from disney since december. some members of the public who oppose mandatory vaccination shouted at supervisors after the vote. state lawmakers hole the first hearing on a bill banning new turf fields made with recycled tires. legislation introduced by jerry hill places a moratorium on the art firm turf while the state conducts a comprehensive study. sponsored by increasing concerns over links to cancer and illnesses in children. >> forget about posting a historic line in the front yard now a baby's birth announcement is done if a bigger way in a
