san francisco. the breaking news is from europe the cost of a low cost airline in the french alps with 148 passengers and crew on board. our reporter is in the newsroom gathering the details. the french government said that 142 passengers, four crew and two pilots were on board and you can see the path of the airbus a320 flying between barcelona and dusseldorf and operated by german budgetarily lost altitude over the southern french alps before entering into switzerland. the area where the airbus a320 crashed is difficult to reach but a search-and-rescue crew is en route. the president of france hollande said it is a tragedy on french soil and he does not expect there to be survivors. we do not know the nationalities of the passenger or crew and it is not then if anyone on the

a man for trying to kidnap a teen on her way to school. the girl told investigators a man in a car offered her a ride as she was walking to high school yesterday morning. he got out and tried to grab her when she refused. police made the arrest after a second student came forward to say something similar happened to her earlier this month. >> happening now the search is on for an escaped inmate in san francisco who managed to break away from a sheriff deputy last night. the search concentrated so far in the south market area and our reporter is outside the jail with details. alyssa? >> yes, the inmate escaped while taking out the trash. police are accepting for him in san francisco south of market neighbor. here is his picture: this is alexander santiago gonzalez escaped from the jail at 8:45 last night. he is 5' 6" ands considered to and from the dumpsters in the
