she might be going through. that's my biggest fear, is that she is going through such horror. she doesn't deserve that, not from anybody. >> reporter: monday afternoon, her boyfriend reported 29-year-old denise huskins was abducted from this home on mare island. >> as of this moment ms. huskins' whereabouts are unknown and we are treating this matter as a kidnap for ransom. >> reporter: police say the boyfriend identified through dmv records as a 30-year-old darin quinn has questioned extensively is and is not a suspect at this time. police released photos denise's car. investigators believed it was related to her disappearance. they also could not explain why quinn didn't call 911 until nearly 2:00 in the afternoon though he claims huskins was abducted sometime in the early morning hours. >> if he was tied up that would, you know, maybe -- maybe something like that was

happening. i don't know. maybe he was tied up. >> reporter: meanwhile a command post has been set up near where quinn's car was found. and search teams have been combing the areas all around mare island. this will morning huskins' car was toed away from her boyfriend's house. >> i pray to god she is not going through any horror. i know she is a fighter. >> reporter: she and quinn met seven months ago at kaiser voyage where they both work as physical therapists. in vallejo, laura anthony abc7 news. meantime, the search for an escaped prisoner is he can pantsing tonight. alexander can't yago gonzalez escaped last night from san francisco. vic lee has more. >> reporter: dan, while the search is on the sheriff's office has launched an investigation into the escape. basically, how this could have happened. after all, it's occurred before,

recently. this is the second time in ten months that a prisoner has escaped from san francisco county jail. timothy mimgt a convicted drug dealer, was also taking out trash when he ran. he was later captured at a homeless shelter. alexander santiago gonzalez was being held in the county jail while his federal guns and drugs case wound its way through federal court. last night, at about 8:45, the prisoner was put on trash detail. he was escorted by a sheriff's deputy as he carried garbage from the jailhouse to a dumpster. suddenly, when they got to an unsecured area heo he ran from the deputy, out to an alley and then to harrison street. sheriff's deputies launched an allout search for gonzalez but to no avail. he had disappeared into the night. gonzalez was arrested last may by a multiagency task force in san santa cruz county. investigators call him a big fish in the drug trade. they confiscated from his home an arsenal of weapons and large

quantities of black tar heroin. >> 14 firearms, three of which were assault-type rifles. he had hundreds of rounds of ammunitions for the weapons. he had two sets of body armor. and plus the amount of drugs that he was trafficking into the county. >> reporter: gonzalez was considered dangerous. still, the sheriff's office held gonzalez in a security level that permitted him to go to unsecured areas to perform chores like the trash detail. we asked the sheriff why. >> candidly i would have to say that it is questionable as to how he might have been classified if in fact he was. again, the internal investigation will determine whether or not he was. >> reporter: there is a $5 million escape warrant out for gonzalez. vic lee, abc7 news. now you recall just two and half weeks ago an accused child molester escaped from a

sheriff's deputy in san jose. sky 7 hd shows the manhunt that went on through the night. still authorities haven't found him. a buy czar end to a search for a 23-year-old woman who went missing yesterday from stinson beach. the woman became separating from two male friends. here is the twist. once the woman realized people were looking for her in marin county she intentionally hid from them because she was wanted for failing to appear on arrest warrant in mendocino county. she reportedly tried to sneak back to her car at 11:00 this morning. however a sheriff's deputy was there waiting for her. she is being held in jail on $2500 bail. a man arrested in a police stand off is going to face charges. someone called police about a suspicious man yesterday afternoon. they tracked him to this home on elsinore drive. you can see armed officers just outside there.

a woman in her 90s and her caretaker made it out safely. when the man refused to come out, police sent in a k-9 unit that helped make the arrest. police say he had a backpack with stolen items inside. east bay residents who do not conserve water could see their water bill increase by more than $100 a month this summer. that's one scenario being discussed this evening at the east bay municipal water oourt utility district. under a stage four drought emergency the utility would add an additional charge to buying water from a facility on the sacramento river. >> we normally bring water from the sierras. in comparison to the water we might bring from the sacramento river it could cost us three times or more just in the pumping and the treatment costs. >> the surcharge could increase utility bills by $11 for most customers. heavywater out aers could see their bill jump by $118.

a decision is expected in june. the santa clara valley water district is said to vote on a conservation measure of 30%. right now, users are being asked to conserve 20%. most are failing to neat that goal. the district is a wholesaler that sells water to retailers who in turn sell and deliver to homes and businesses. 49ers officials say they are trying to improve sveltering conditions at levi's stadium before next season. the constant sun made the east side of the stadium very hot during day games last season. the niners consulted with other warm weather teams who deal with this every year to see how they keep their fans cool. as a result, the team will install additional air-conditioning units in the concourse and misters in the nearby plazas. officials are considerings pa passing out hand fans to help keep them cool. an important step forward in

the effort to build a new stadium for the oakland raiders. ed to almeida county approved a measure to build a new stadium. the timing of the vote is important here given that the nfl owners meeting is taking place right now. the show of support might convince owners to help fund a new stadium in oakland rather than support a possible move to los angeles. not everybody is on board with the start up bus services in san francisco. some say they are causing problems. one supervise is calling for a hearing. abc7 news reporter carin listen tyler joins us from san francisco's financial district. >> reporter: this is one of those places where the start-ups -- -- they just got rolling, and already chair ott yo and leaf are hitting bumps in the road. they offer a luxurious alternative to muni taking riders to downtown san francisco in style. >> i don't think they need to

stop. i think what we need to do as a city is think about how we are going to either regulate them or make sure they operate in a way in our city that doesn't impact the quality of life in our neighborhoods. >> reporter: the supervisor is getting complaints like this one from a constituent who sent pictures of chariot which began operating last year blocking his driveway. others complain about double parking. carla says leap informed her just yesterday they plan to use the white zone outside her motel on lumbar street for their morning commuters. >> where are we going to tell our truck driver to unload the products? i have no other room of course this is a busy street, this is my main concern. >> reporter: company execs say they are trying to be good drivers. >> we have gotten complaints and we are starting the process of

search efforts are suspended for the day in the french alps where a german jetliner crashed killing all 150 on board. the german wings flight started descendsing one minute after reaching its cruising height. in washington the white house said there is no indication this crash is linked to terrorism. abc news will have team coverage on this mid air mystery on world news tonight with david muir following abc7 news at 5:00. news that angelina jolie has had a second major surgery to head off cancer is garnering

up. your information is being sold to the highest bidder. 13 million e-mail addresses and 65 million mailing addresses are for sale as part of the bankruptcy auction. it's up to the bankruptcy court to approve the deals. two companies, however, are fighting it. att says much of that information belongs to them and it's not radio shack's to sell. the phone carrier says it had a deal with radio shack to market phones. the texas state attorney general is also suing saying radio shack explicitly promised its customers the data would not be sold to a third party. if you have frequent flyer models from u.s. air they will soon be completely disappeared. but there is no reason to worry. they are scheduled to be converted into american airline miles this weekend. the two airlines have been running as one since they merged in december 2013. customers from the old u.s. air won't need to do anything. everything is supposed to happen automatically. supposed to happen

police in the san joaquin county community of tracy are looking for a bear that was photographed last night lurking around a neighborhood. there it is. at least two residents saw this bear. residents are being told to avoid contact with that animal. if they see it, don't go near it. just call animal control. president obama said today nearly 10,000 u.s. troops will stay in afghanistan until the end of next year. the new afghan president was at
