live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> developing news shocking video has surfaced online showing a homeless man being beaten by a man hired to help downtown businesses and another colleague standing by who doesn't try to stop the attack. the man and woman in the video have not been charged with any crimes. they were hired as community ambassadors by a downtown berkeley merchants group. the fallout is just going? >> the video clearly shows a downtown berkeley ambassador throwing punch after punch but when police were called they arrested the two homeless men.

[ inaudible ] >> the startling video posted on youtube show as violent argument between two downtown berkeley ambassadors dressed in neon green and two homeless men in a alley behind c.v.s. the homeless men said "stay away from my things," and an ambassador identified as jeffrey bailey throws a punch and chases him. the female co-workers tried to hold off the other homeless man. the video was take an week ago and now that it is out? >> we are all disgusted and there are a couple of different reasons why. it is not just the physical altercation i have a problem with. the problem i have is this is the type of altercation we continually train about and have to mitigate on a daily basis.

officer whose death has rocked the community. the memorial for officer michael johnson is growing and flowers and can tells and notes are piling up as people pay their respects. a new picture is emerging of the gunman. our reporter is at the scene with that part of the story. matt? we have been here at the memorial and people have been stopping by looking at flowers and cards and candles and glancing up at the condo, a vigil is held at 6:30 as the community mourns the loss of an officer while the shooters' family deals with the burden. >> the scene of the crime is now a memorial for officer mike johnson shot and killed on tuesday night. two of his fellow officers came by this morning to pay their respects. back in san jose, police headquarters a huge memorial for officer johnson recognizing the tragic loss for the department. >> anyone wants to see anyone and especially a law enforcement officer lose their life responding to a call where they

are there to help. it is devastating. it really is. anger is part of that emotion. >> today the wife and niece of 57-year-old scott dunham accused of shooting and killing officer johnson, arrived back at the front car of the condo at centreville terrace wait for a clean crew to arrive. she did not want to go on camera the niece said the family is devastated and is sorry for the death of officer johnson and described her uncle as caring and loving and sweet map with two daughters daughters and six grandchildren. a neighbor describes him the same. >> he was a nice man. i don't know what play have transpired in his life to bring him to this point >> the niece said her uncle was diagnosed with copd and needed to use oxygen. according to her he was suicidal in the past and may have suffered from an undiagnosed mental illness. she believes the reality of dying weighed on him and may have pushed him over the edge on tuesday night. tonight a vigil is held in front of the home.

police department in the last 24 hours. the department is not responding. it is not saying anything only that this investigation isn't complete. >> lawyers for position denise huskins and aaron quinn came out swing against the vallejo police department saying very emphatically their clients were victims of crimes. even though police told a different story. >> she is absolutely unequivocally 100 percent positively a victim and this is no hoax, no laughing matter. >> lawyers were responding to vallejo police who on wednesday night called the kidnapping of denise huskins for ransom an orchestrated event and found no evidence that a kidnapping happened. she disappeared monday and unked it unsafe in southern california on wednesday. yesterday, denise huskins spent the day interviewing with vallejo police and this video was taken of her leaving the police station. police said she refused to talk to them and accused the pair of sending them on a wild goose
