good evening and thank you for joining us. police in hayward are investigating the attempted kidnapping of a teenaged girl. we just received this sketch of the suspect. the third attempted abduction in the area in the last three weeks but the latest crime involved a gun. >> reporter: police believe that's man could be responsible for all three attempted kidnappings of teenagers, the latest crime, even more brazen. >> i'm glad she got away. it's really scary. >> reporter: this parent just heard about the attempted kidnapping of a teenage girl a block from the park where she

takes her kids to play. police say the 16-year-old girl was walking home from hayward high on walford street 4:00 p.m. on friday when she was grabbed by man and pulled into the back seat of his car. >> the suspect got into the vehicle on top of her in the back seat, and produced a handgun. the victim was able to fight back was able to fight the suspect off and escape from the vehicle. >> reporter: the grave girl wasn't hurt. she ran home and called 9-1-1. the girl told police he was driving a white sedan, he was hispanic or east indian, mid-20s, 5'7", a short beard. a similar description to this suspect who tried to grab a girl walking home on march 6th. and this man who tried to kidnap another teen on february 20th. both girls got away. >> we're investigating the possibility the three incidents are related. i. >> hopefully they catch this

those runaway llamas that become a social media sensation are saying goodbye to the spotlight. they're making their last public appearance at a phoenix racetrack. the llamas led authorities on a wild chase after getting speak while visiting an elderly care home as therapy animals. the usda say the owners need a license if they want to continue to showcase the animals. a ph.d candidate at uc davis isn't letting a vision impairment keep him from being the top of his last. in fact he says being blind helps him be a better chemist and allows him to teach his' peers about -- he use a 3d printer to generate modelles of structures he can hold.
