abc7 news begins with breaking news. the breaking news is in the east bay. sky 7 h.d. is over the el cerrito plaza bart station. it is closed because of a medical emergency. you can see on the platforms no one is standing through but investigators. trains are not stopping at the station. there was a fatality on the tracks. we understand it is a medical situation with the fatality. the coroner is on route. the just resumed service on richmond was completely shut down in the area and there are 10-20-minute delays in the fremont and richmond and milbrae

directions because of the fact that trains are not stopping and are bypassing the el cerrito plaza station at 9:30 this morning is when it began. we will update you on the story on twitter@abc7newsbayarea. good morning, thanks for joining us. i am kristen sze. cheryl jennings is on assignment. we are learning new details of the woman who re-ignited security concerns at mineta san jose international airport after sneaking into a secure area the fifth security breach in less than a year. matt keller is at the airport. matt? we do not have a motive for why she jumped the fence and walked on to the air field but what could be more troubles is airport security cannot keep people out. >> at mineta san jose international airport, this is not a place for passengers. u.p.s. is here and last night at 5:15 a u.p.s. worker spotted a woman who did not belong.

she hopped the fence on the southwest side of the airplane the she walked eastbound on the airfield. officers say the woman identified at 20-year-old resisted arrest but was taken into custody. she was backed into the santa clara county jail on charges of trespassing and resisting arrest. >> what happened, our security program worked. an airport employee detected thissen authorized person and alerted the authorities who responded. >> the east bay congressman who disagree that the security program worked considering she get on to the airfield without being detected by t.s.a. he has been an advocate for more security including perimeter breach notification alerts. this is the fifth security breach at the san jose airport in the year the most in the nation according to the congressman swallow including the teen who stowed away in a wheel well of a flight to hawaii. officials have been working for a year with the faa funded

national safe sky alliance to determine the best technology to use. the recommendation is not expected until at least this summer. >> we cannot take drastic measures or responsive measures. we need to employ the right technology. it taxis -- takes time and money to employ the measures. >> officials say they are looking to increase the height of the fence around the airport which already meets federal requirements. that takes money, too. >> new details today in a murder-suicide at a palo alto senior living facility early this month. police believe now a resident 69-year-old mark miller shot and killed a complex manager 70s-year-old vincent collins because miller thought collins was stealing from him. miller then killed himself. 60s weeks earlier miller called because he thought collins was taking items from his apartment when he was not home. the officer determined that was not the case.

the mystery deepens about the death of an oil heir and the state that andrew getty was in when found dead in his hollywood hills home. our reporter is in the newsroom with the latest. >> we learned 47-year-old andrew getty had not been feeling well and taking prescription medication for stomach problems and was found half naked dead, in the bathroom. >> the coroner said it appears the 47-year-old andrew getty died of natural causes or, perhaps an accident lick a fall or drug overdose. medication was discovered in the bath room of his hollywood hills home where he was found. >> right now it is treated as "undetermined." there is plenty of speculation there is more to the story. this is called a potential homicide citing the article by tmz that said an ex-girlfriend who getty had a restraining order against might have been there. the l.a.p.d. said a woman at the

house called 9-1-1 and taken in for questioning and released. >> we have a witness who called 9-1-1 you may have seen that individual leave in a police car and that individual is being interviewed by robbery and homicide detectives as a possible witness and is being cooperative. >> i cannot say this is a criminal angle to the investigation. >> he grew up in san francisco the son of billionaires who own a mansion in pacific heights. his grandfather is oil tycoon j. paul getty name the richest man in america. they are long time friends of lt. governor newsome and well-known in elite social circles throughout the bay area and in los angeles. the family confirmed the death in a statement calling this is "very difficult time." >> i spoke with the getty family spokesman this morning and he said that his parents of focusing on the investigation and do not have additional

comments. >> thank you. berkeley residents are no strangers to disturbances but a phenomenon has them baffled and concerned. loud booming sounds have been happening at night and police have few leads. our reporter is in berkeley with the details. >> it is puzzling happening mostly here in berkeley. while it was causing a lost speculation at first neighbors now say they want the noise to stop. it is a quiet morning here in southwest berkeley although depending on who you ask they did not get a good night's leap. >> there was a loud bam the it is so loud the direction is lost. >> it sounds like a fireworks and we saw a flash outside of our window. >> loud noise has been startling babies, pets and setting off car alarms. >> it is scary.

my son was asleep and my first concern is he would wake up. >> at first the loud noise was a source of chatter on twitter and now neighbors are frustrated. it has been a month and there is no end to the disturbance. police are getting their fair share of calls at police dispatch. >> if i get calls we had another one of the explosions north of my location. >> someone called and said they think it is a bottle rocket. >> this map shows the areas where the reports have come in. police say most likely it is a home-made explosive to blame. >> at this point it could be a fireworks device. we are not positive. we are doing some work trying to figure out exactly where in the city these are happening. if they are watching i would ask you to please stop because it is keeping us up 5 night and it is scary for my child.
