that amid the junk and trash was a mummified body. >> i can't imagine the smell it would cause. it is horrifying. it is like a movie. >> the body was found wrapped in a blanket and believed to be in the home for five years. it is up to the medical examiner to determine a cause of death. authorities say it is that of an elderly woman who was about 90 at the time of her death. they received a tip of the dead body when the woman revealed the information to a tax advisor. >> i support people staying in their homes as long as possible and contributing to their neighborhoods but this is a nightmare where there should have been assisted living and nursing home and other support and health services for somebody much sooner than five years after she has died. >> as for the clean up it will take awhile. junk was piled as high as the ceiling. >> it looked like garbage to me but i didn't really -- it

was just piles of junk. i just saw them cleaning it out. >> the city crews have to get a contractor to do the rest of the work. there is mold and black widows are all over the house. lilian kim abc7 news. the marin county sheriff deputies say a woman set a mill valley house on fire this morning. she is also accused of vandalizing the driveway next to it and confronting a woman with lighter fluid and holding a lighter to her. an off duty marin firefighter saw two women arguing on the street and intervened. >> what was happening there was a lot of emotion and screaming and yelling. my instinct was to decide what was going on. i could smell the lighter fluid. i could determine there was something else going on. >> sailor was targeting greg adams and is safe. he actually no longer lives in

the area. they don't know why she is fixated on him, but shooy is available for several other arsons along panoramic highway. police are looking for a gunman who shot and killed a local musician. there is a growing memorial for navares outside the gold and bold bar. he played base for the group the lucky egits. he was hit by a stray bullet after a performance at the bar. he was not the target. another man was wounded. there is an official restrax and -- retractions and promises to make changes after a scathing review. the columbia journalism school looked at the article about an alleged gang rape at the university of virginia. "rolling stone" requested the review after others found mistakes in the story. the report finds the author didn't contact sources or try to find the person accused of orchestrating the assault.

they apologized for the story. no one was fired. the voice behind some of the most iconic sports moments in bay area history passed away today. simmons was 91 years old. mike shumann joins us with a look back at his legacy. you knee him. >> oh yeah, a good friend. he set the standard for bay area broadcasters. he was one of the first announcers with the giants and he then joined the a's for 15 years and was a 49er play by play man for 26 years. here is one of his great calls on steve young's amazing run against the vikings. >> goes to the 40 and to the 35, touch back at the 30. turn at 20, the 15, the 10, he dives. touchdown 49ers. >> he had anen sigh clough pee dee yaw -- an encyclopedia

we will get a few more powder days. >> looks like a winter wonderland to me. you say more snow to come? >> they will go under winter storm warnings. the higher peaks could see a foot to two feet of snow. live doppler 7hd right now is going to show you a pretty quiet picture. this time tomorrow we will see a cold front moving through. 51 in downtown san francisco and 49 in oakland and 47 in fromont and currently at a temperature of 48. satellite and radar will show you the picture we had. there was a quick drizzle here and there. it pushed out and allowed for sunshine in the afternoon. we are tracking the next storm system to the north. this has much more moisture associated with it. a wide bank of cloud cover to the south. all of that will push into the bay area over the next 24 to 36 hours. ahead of the stronger storm

system, the winds will kick up first. tomorrow morning 9:00 on your monday. generally light in nature. as the front drags south you do notice the wind picks up out of the south. wind gusts 25 to 35 miles per hour. future weather early tomorrow morning we will start off with mainly cloudy skies. the rains are staying offshore. here comes the cold front. the rain arrives in the north bay first at 7:00 8:00 in the evening. heavy showers from cloverdale and santa rosa and the front continues to sag south. by midnight and early tuesday morning the front is essentially over san francisco and oakland. there is a chance that we could hear a couple rumbles of thunder and see small hail as the system moves through. by tuesday morning it is pushing to the east and we are seeing significant snowfall in the sierra. in terms of rainfall how much we could see is a good soaking. in the north bay generally over an inch of rain is very likely in a lot of spots.

around the bay half an inch to an inch and a quarter is likely. and then in the bay area three quarters of an inch of rain. there will be a significant storm. snow level is low at 3500 feet. we could see 10 inches in donner and even south lake tahoe is picking up five inches of fresh powder. mainly cloudy and dropping to 41 san jose. and then mainly c,oudy day. the showers hold off until the evening hours. 59 san francisco and 57 san rafael. san jose a high of 62 degrees. here is jobing accu-weather seven-day forecast. tomorrow we have the late day showers moving in. the bulk of the showers happened on tuesday morning where we could see a couple flashes of lightning. it is out of here on wednesday. it is a warmer day on thursday. another chance for rain? next saturday. another storm is likely. >> thank you drew.

the san jose earthquakes celebrated with an egg hunt and fundraiser for the fallen police officer. they hosted the event for young quakes fans and the media partners at the san jose mercury news reported that they raised $3500. the community fund matched it as well as the team's owner and daughter. $10,500 will be given to johnson's family. now to incredible video of

a man being buried alive under a mountain of snow. curtis johnson is an experienced snowmobiler who had a go pro camera strapped to his helmet in british columbia. all of a sudden sheets of snow come crashing down on him. he spent two minutes trapped. lucky for him they came to his rescue. once they found him it took three more minutes to dig him free. a very lucky man. >> i'm telling you. >> the warriors though. their luck has ended. unlucky 13. >> their 12-game win streak came to an abrupt end. the champs let them know the 2015 nba title may come
