mystery goo is set free but there 10 big beale and the bay area rescue center is left to foot the bill. amy hollyfield is in fairly with the latest. $150,000 kristen, but today is the pay off for the volunteers who worked hard at the international bird rescue center. they get to watch the last bird be released. in january, 500 birds were discovered in a mystery goo. they never figured out what it was. it was deadly to some, 300 birds died. one problem was not knowing what the substance was, was the funding. cam funding plans are in place for oil spill but not for unknown substance. this is a new bill proposed to change that and it and making progress making it out of committee year. we have this situation, no state funding came in to the center to

covering benicia, san ramon san mateo and all the bay area, this is abc7 news. 6:44. today, a showdown is looming in sacramento over the future of vaccinations for california kids. some parents are making their way to the state capitol to make their point about why they want the current law to stick but if it doesn't there could be serious fallout. >> our reporter is in the newsroom to explain. good morning. the proposed legislation would remove the personal belief exemption for vaccination. the senate bill 277 could ban children from school who have not been immunized. a senator introduced this bill and has been receiving some threats and has new been providing with extra security.
