the supervisors voted to form a working group to look into it. >> police are on the lookout for a sexual assault suspect. they issued this sketch today of a man in his 30 s, 62, and when she lost balance, he fell on her, running away. the family is saying the that that was not justified. authorities say he he had a knife. and was trying to steal another man's bicycle. they saw the crime and shot him. they said lopez was fleeing from the scene and dropped a knife.

we reached police this evening. they told abc7 news they'll launch a new investigation. >> tonight we're hearing from an 8-year-old boy asleep in the back of a stolen car. his family plans to file a complaint against the officers who helped find their son. abc7 news joins us live from the police department to explain. tiffany? >> they say mom and dad were brought here in the back of the squad car in handcuffs and they want officers to undergo more training. >> no longer the center of an amber alert. >> i just want to say to everybody that was out looking for me. >> this family is upset with the

the bay area and needed maria to buy supplies beforehand. the client sent her a check for $2450 >> i was like yeah. just let me know what you need. and don't worry about it. >> she deposited the check and the client needed some of the money back for an emergency. maria could deduct salary but wire the rest back. . >> i was like yeah. everything is available. i sent out the money to her. so i sent it through money gram. >> it seemed legit until checking her account. she was shocked to see the check bounced. $2450 was gone. my bank account was in the red. >> turns out the check was fake client, was fake. now, maria had to pay back nearly $2000.

>> it happened. everything was gone. >> it wasn't until after she lost the money she saw our story about a similar scam on care.com. a college student was about to sent $3000 to a family she thought was real. luckily her bank detected the fraud, and stopped it. now, she wants to warn others watch out when looking online for work. >> you should meet people face-to-face. >> care.com says users should communicate only through the site's internal message system. and if anyone sends you a big check, and comes up with a reason, it's a scam. it's always a scam.
