private investigation determined officers were not in danger and low belz had dropped his knife when he was shot. there will be a vigil at 6:00 tonight at fulsom street. the silicon valley venture capital firm recently won a discrimination case is giving a $1 million ultimatum to its former associate. according to the "new york times" kleiner perkins says it will seek $1 million from ellen pow if she pursues her case through appeals. the family says it has spent that much in court fees and seeking reimbursement f she decides no to pursue the case, they will forgive and forget. a jury rejected her claim of discrimination last month. sales force is making kahne chances to close the gender pay gap. the san francisco-based company is reviewing salaries of 16,000 workers to ensure men and women are paid fairly. ceo says when the audit is complete there will be no pay

5:13 now. police in the north bay have a food coma to thank for helping them nab a home burglar. according to the chronicle, a man broke into a home on call field lane in petaluma yesterday, instead of making off with valuables, the man made himself a snack of tater tots. he then fell asleep on the couch and was discovered by a startled resident who locked herself in the bedroom and called police. police say the burglary suspect, 44-year-old james adams, has a long criminal history involving weapons possession, battery and felony dui. looking to cash in on some spring shopping deals you better do it soon. >> abc news reporter lana zack shows us what you need to buy now to avoid spending more later. >> reporter: spring just got here, but some of the hottest deals are about to disappear.

reporting live from the big easy on abc7 news. follow shoe on twitter at mike shumann for an insider's perspective. a cupertino teen is back home this morning three days after he was reported missing 17-year-old connor sullivan returned home last night. he had been reported missing monday after he did not show up to track practice at monta vista high school. hundreds of volunteers searched near the high school for the teen. police are releasing very few details about connor's disappearance but they say he did return home on his up. abc7 news reporter matt keller live in cupertino and have a report for us at the top of the hour. developing news, investigators in indiana will be looking into what caused a high school stage to collapse right in the middle of a performance, injuring about two dozen students. last night's frightening incident was all caught on video. abc7 news reporter alyssa harrington is live in the newsroom. >> reporter: the stage collapsed during the final number at the student concert in central

[ screaming ] >> oh, my god. >> move! move! >> reporter: this was shot on an audience member's cell phone during the performance. showed a group of students piling on to the stage during a cover of journey's "don't stop believing." in an instant, they sink as the floor collapses beneath them. the mayor visited two dozen students that were hurt. >> i saw the shock, moment of began screaming from parents and faculty and staff and a rush to the stage. >> another hospital, i was actually able to get back into the emergency room and talk to three young all three of them, including the one initially listed as critical, in very good spirits, i was thrilled to see that.

from the residence. >> police believe there may be more victims along the 880 and 680 corridors. if you own a vehicle that's high off the ground look out. thieves are targeting trucks and suvs in the east bay for their catalytic converters. in the last week, there have been eight thefts on five streets just in the city of hercules. thieves appear to be targeting toyotas because of their high ground clearance. all the thefts have involved 1990 to 2005 tacomas, sequoias and 4 runners. catalytic converters contain precious metals, thieves usually try to sell them for scrap. a bay area teenager has been reunited with her expensive cello, stolen from her mom's suv in san francisco earlier this month. and this week, someone mysteriously returned it. the bartender was closing tuesday night when a man in a black hooded sweatshirt rushed in.

a guy walks in and just drop off something huge and called the police. it is an $8500 cello stolen from an suv in a garage near union square april 11th. but he didn't know that at the time. >> when i heard it had been dropped at the bar, i was infinitely grateful for the mysterious man. >> police are looking for the thieves. police are warning the public after a man approach and followed a high school student. the 17-year-old student at casa grande high school parked her vehicle in front of the school yesterday. the girl says a man was watching her and began following her, so she went into the school and notified a teacher. the man is described as a 50-year-old white man around six feet tall with a thin build and black and white hair. he was wearing a black leather jacket and dark jeans. the push to name the tunnel that connects the golden gate bridge to marin county after late comedian robin williams takes another step forward. the california assembly unanimously voted yesterday to
