st. patrick's day. the bartender and model suffered serious injuries when bart and oakland police officers took her down. >> i don't believe that they should have, you know broken four bones in my face and knocked out some of my teeth. >> reporter: sheehan ended up at the lake merit bart station after a heavy night of drinking and she's embarrassed of how drunk she got, but her crime, she says, does not fit the punishment. >> i should never have gotten that drunk, but also there are ways to detain someone and not break their face. [ screaming ] >> a bart rf arrested sheehan who admitted she -- >> you see sheehan in the upper right hand corner of the video and the bart officer standing with her and suddenly some kind of altercation starts and she's thrown to the ground. the jail security camera video shows it happened quickly.

take another closer look from a body cam. >> don't touch me like that! >> oh! >> here is another angle a better one. an oakland cop grabs her right hand while the bart officer takes her left hand and they throw her down face first. sheehan's attorney, john scott. >> they knew by throwing her to the ground without having her hand available to break the fall that she was going to suffer serious head injuries. scott believes it was excessive force and intentional. >> she was uncooperative. she was intoxicated and i believe she had to be taught a lesson. in police jargon, she flunked the attitude test. sheehan was violently punching and that the officer guided her to the ground. sheehan and her lawyer dispute that. take another look at the video. >> don't touch me like that! >> sheehan was lying unconscious

in a pool of blood. >> megan. megan, can you hear me? >> nurses were called and she was treated and taken to the hospital. vic lee, abc 7 news. >> wow! that's very disturbing video. well san mateo county court bailiff is on leave accused of pointing his gun at a courthouse historian. it happened inside the courthouse in redwood city and they say just before the bailiff pulled the gun he and the custodian were talking about the deadly police shooting of walter scott in south carolina. court was not in session at the time and the san mateo county sheriff's department is conducting the investigation. >> the family of a man shot and killed by san francisco police filed a federal civil rights lawsuit today, amylcarper ez lopez was killed when he approached officers with a knife. tiffany wilson joins us now. >> the results of an independent

autopsy have shocked members of the community and they plan to join, and here they will march to the mission police station and then on to st. john the evangelist church. >> reporter: the parents of lopez spoke today via skype. perez lopez worked two jobs and supported his family in guatemala. his mom and dad never thought their son would come home in a coffin. >> they truly want justice. >> reporter: according to police on february 26th, perez lopez got into a dispute over a bike and pulled out a knife. that knife the chief described what happened when undercover officers approached. >> the officers drew their weapons and demanded for the man to drop his knife. he refused and have several witnesses that heard this. >> attorney ronaldo casillas has the account. they shot him on the sidewalk as he was moving toward the officers &. >> and the results of the official autopsy have not yet

been released and casillas says an independent autopsy shows four bullets entering perez lopez's back proving he was running away from police. >> if i'm charging you you can't shoot him in the back. they also told the investigator the undercover officers never identified themselves as police. some residents of the mission fear perez lopez's death is part of a larger problem. >> today casillas suv aired civil rights lawsuit with the u.s. justice department. a san francisco police spokesperson says it's not unusual for families to file lawsuits and the department does not comment on open investigations. in san francisco tiffany wilson, abc 7 news. a cal football coach accused of soliciting a prostitute online is out of a job this afternoon. cal fired 30-year-old pierre ingram today. ingram is one of five people arrested monday night during a prostitution sting by oakland police.

he was cal's football recruiting coordinator and cal sent out a statement saying ingram will no longer represent or act on behalf of the university in any capacity. meantime police are looking for a suspect in a strong-armed robbery attempt in free mobt and police say the suspect attacked a woman outside her home on riverbank terrace and tried to rip the necklace she was wearing off her neck and she was able to defend herself and get away and the suspect took off running and he was seen driving a 2001 and maybe 2002 gold four-door honda accord. there it is. parents are on high alert at an antioch elementary school after a stranger tried to lure a child into a truck. this happened after a boy was dropped off at bellshaw elementary. a boy driving a red pickup tried to get the child into the car. school administrators encouraged parents to talk to their kids about stranger danger. >> it does not surprise me at all, but the only thing i can do

move into the north bay and across the rest of the bay area at 11:00 p.m. and i'll be back to let you know if it will continue into your weekend and how much rain will come into the area. >> today we're hearing from the family of connor sullivan the 17-year-old cupertino teen that went missing two days ago. connor disappeared after his first-period class on monday in monty vista high school. >> we learned that he camped out there the entire time and investigators came home last night after making a spontaneous decision to run away. connor has expressed the deepest sorrow and regret for his actions. he understands there is no excuse for the concern and worry he caused. >> power is back on at 30 buildings on uc berkeley's campus tonight. a contractor doing routine work on the substation accidentally cut a power line. electricity went out for two and a half hours and the daily californian reports someone was stuck in an elevator at the library and had to be let out and some professors canceled their classes and others moved

them outdoors. students were frustrated they couldn't use services like the gym or campus cafes. >> kind of like the pace of the day, so not great. >> the last big campus outage was september of 2013. that time it took more than six hours to get the power back on. the campaign to prevent another explosion like the one in fresno last friday. this is video of the intense fire that erupted after construction workers hit a gas pipeline. it could have been prevened by this. that is a pg&e worker marking gas lines in san francisco. the utility offers it to anyone starting a construction project, even a small one. >> this guy put in a mailbox in front of his house and he stuck a stake right into a two-inch plastic gas main. >> homeowners and construction crews are urged to call 811 two days before they dig owe the utility can mark the gas lines.

stanislaus county luke wenger finished cutting down 20 acres so he can use his water allotment on his crop of younger, more productive trees. >> they're taking out 50% of what they have in order to irrigate the other 50% and there are other growers who were hit harder who are getting zero water and don't have anything. >> if there is a benefit from the drought that's allowing crews easier access to clean up trash in lake tahoe. it's several inches lower than normal and six feet below maximum capacity. >> that's allowing volunteers to save lake tahoe that was likely dumped in the water. last year it netted 170 pounds of crash. >> because of the drought it's making house calls. in the south bay one particular program has become so popular residents cannot book a spot until june. abc 7's chris nguyen has the

story. >> at the pond these water images show the impact of the drought. >> there's no time to waste. people need to do what they can right away. >> santa clara county residents have been asked to cut their water use by 30%. to help with that, the water district is offering a free program called the water wise house call from replacing shower heads to measuring faucet flow rates and technicians will come to your home, assess your water usage and give you a customized plan to help you save money and water. the program is so popular there's now a six-week waiting list. >> we wish we could get them ready and we have available to make the house calls and it will take time to meet the demand that we're suddenly seeing. previous participants have lowered their water use by an average of 30 pounds per day but as people wait for a visit from an auditor some are taking matters into their own hand. employees at the ace hardware store say they've seen a 30% increase in drought-related sales since the start of the

and cloverdale, but that will be changing and gusts at 23 over the west in novato and it is the wind coming off the cool pacific that is making it feel colder and here's the view from the camera with the clouds around and temperatures right now upper 50s and san carlos and it is currently 60 in oakland and 63 san jose. scattered showers in tahoe and it will be turning to snow as we hit the weekend and 63 in santa rosa and 61 napa and they're running cooler and 63 in livermore and down in san jose they're starting to see partly cloudy skies and showers tonight into early morning and we're looking at partial clearing by midday and sunny and warmer. the first half will look different from the first half and here is the cold front that will sweep through and it's up along the northern california coastline and as we take a look at the timing of all of this and 7:00 when you're perhaps sitting down for dinner and they're

looking at cloud cover and you start to see the rain moving in at 9:00 p.m. and it spreads during the 11:00 hour and light to moderate rain across parts of the bay area and it will switch over to scattered showers, and by 5:00 a.m. it's in the south bay and in the santa cruz mountains and by 7:00 most of it is done and maybe an isolated shower will look at partly to mostly cloudy skies by saturday afternoon. in terms of rain totals most areas will receive a tenth to a third of an inch and it could get up to a half an inch of rain which would be terrific. in the sierra it could be up to a foot in the highest elevations and if you're going make sure you're carrying your chains and winter weather advisory, and it runs above 5500 feet where the snow will accumulate and it will be gusty so keep that in mind. tomorrow morning temperatures mainly in the 50s and the early morning hours you will need the
