base camp. friends say he died doing what he liked. he was after avid hiker and mt. everest was on his bucket list. he was hiking when the quake hit nepal. >> the rest of us were putting on the pounds and he was getting fitter and fitter. >> he was a consultant and his colleagues expressed condolences. friends will gather in marin to go on a hike in his honor. >> the death toll stands more than 5 people. more than 10,000 were injured in the quake. 436 americans remain missing and unaccounted for. some have not been reached by rescue teams yet. they have been upon droing tends, food, and medicine to isolated communities.
